Interesting Testimony – Daughter of Lesbians

Powerful Testimony

I listened to the testimony of this young woman and I felt so sad for her.  I really think this should go viral.  It may help a lot of other young men and women who are going through the same ordeal and also, to help all of us understand the consequences of our actions on those we love.

This post will probably be a myriad of articles which I would really like to share.  Articles which I believe will be very helpful and interesting.  Another topic is about St. Joseph.  The Saint for these times.  I remember reading many years ago that St. Theresa said  the Lord was saving St. Joseph for the last days.  He would be of great importance to us.

Here is an excellent article speaking about what Purgatory is really like.  Can be found here.
New Information for IBS Sufferers.
I have had to deal with IBS for over 25 years, but the last 4 have probably been the most challenging.  Just when I think I am on a roll and doing great, it hits me hard once again.  Fortunately my daughter sent me an article of research into this very topic which I found extremely helpful.  “Gluten-sensitive? It may actually be a carb making you ill”
I realized that this was the missing piece I needed and began to follow it and I am once again on the mend.  The bottom line is that foods which have more fructose than glucose are the culprits and our systems can’t digest the extra fructose.  Bummer.  To read the article go  here
Finally, I want to share a few photos that were taken from the gardens this summer by a dear friend and my neighbors daughter.  This is just to share God’s beauty. Hope you enjoy them.  God Bless.

All that is in darkness shall be brought into the light

For there is not any thing secret that shall not be made manifest, nor hidden, that shall not be known and come abroad.  (luke 8:17)

I know its been awhile since I have written, but I have been super busy with all the gardens….however, this verse from Luke has been on my heart to write about for at least two or three weeks now.   So, finally, I decided I best do it.

What struck me while reading this Gospel passage a few weeks back was how God, in His perfect timing, is bringing so much evil into the light.   satan has had his way for eons now and I am guessing his time must be short because all of a sudden things are being revealed such as Harvey Weinstein and others, Hillary Clintons escapades, the real Russian Collusion story, the Uranium One deal, Mueller and his crony, former FBI Director, Mr. Comey and so much more that is going on in our Government.

These individuals, as well as the media, were pretty smug when they were trying to pin all of the evils upon President Trump, but now, I think they are running and a little nervous.

Isn’t it cool how God works.  I guess He meant what He said.  Those who are far from God and filled with pride felt as though they had nothing to worry about…..they were controlling everything and had everything under control…..until God started unraveling and revealing all the lies and deceptions as only God can do.

But, remember, this applies to all of us as well.   He did tell us that what we do not confess to Him will also be brought into the light so if you need to confess your deep dark secrets, and repent, now would be the time to do it.  Once we repent and confess those areas of sin, God forgets about them and acts as though they never happened.  satan cannot accuse you of those sins anymore (especially at your judgment).

I think that most everyone would agree that God is definitely up to something.  You look at all of the horrific storms and tragedies happening worldwide ( I am sure this is our purification) and now revealing all of the evil deeds that have been done in secret by people in power.

Nothing happens without God allowing it to happen.  He is trying to get our attention and I do believe we are very close to the time when we will see our souls and know there is a God. (mini judgment).   We will know the good and bad things we have done in our lives and be given another chance to rectify things.

However, there is something else we must do which is coming to my mind at this very second.  This is something that I really need to work harder at…..LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR.   Sometimes it can be so darn difficult to love those who are trying to make your life miserable or who just have a tough time being nice.  There won’t be any excuses that we can give to God so we all need to ask for that special grace to love those who seem so difficult for us to love.

Have you also noticed how the Catholic Church is going through a huge purification process.  Can it get any worse?????   Pope Francis is in for a terrible fall.  He  seems to be speeding things up to change Church Teaching.  I actually feel sorry for all of the Priests, Bishops, and Cardinals who are feeling so giddy right now and following Pope Francis down the slippery road of Heresy.  The Lord did say that to whom much has been given, much will be expected.    I do pray for them but I really do need to feel a bit more compassion for them and pray with more fervor.  Thats my lack of “love of neighbor” rearing its ugly head within me.

I keep seeing Jesus’s eyes, which were filled with compassion and love  when He looked at Judas, who betrayed Him, and I feel horrible that I can’t be that compassionate towards those who are out to destroy our Church and our beautiful Country and World.

I’ve got my work cut out for me.  I am sure the Lord is showing  you as well what you need to improve upon.  If not, you might want to ask Him because we are all sinners, and this is not the time to be judging others rather than yourself.

We need to work hard to stay close to God, pray, fast, repent, love and do our very best each and every day….as though each day is our last day.

Blessings to everyone

There is hope for every single one of us

The other day I was pondering how God had mercy on me even though I felt I did not deserve it.  I was and will be forever grateful.

This got me thinking about all the people out there who feel like they can never be forgiven because their sins are too numerous or bad or perhaps they have been away from God for a long time.

I, myself, had been away from God for at least 18 years.  That’s a long time.  Some have been away from God much longer than that and some much less….but it doesn’t matter.

Satan wants us to feel despair and not have any hope whatsoever.  He wants us to feel like no matter what we do, we will never get to heaven and there are no second chances.  That is a lie.  On the other hand, he will convince others that no matter what they do, God will forgive them even if they never ask for forgiveness or stay in their sin thinking all will be well.  this is the sin of Presumption.

So, one sin is Despair  and the other Presumption.  I have experienced both of these scenarios.

Once I was old enough to start “partying”  I began the stage of becoming lukewarm in my faith and love for God.   God no longer played an important role in my life….all I thought about were my friends and where we were going to go on the weekends.  Once I left home and went to college I decided I no longer had to go to Mass every Sunday.  First mistake.   Now, I was in mortal sin.  I was becoming dead to grace.  I then decided I no longer had to go to confession.  Second mistake.

These two big mistakes led to many other wayward choices I made in my young life.  Choices I would never have made had I kept God in my life and obeyed His commandments.  I no longer had His “light” or strength to stay on the straight and narrow path.  There were brief instances during those years where I would think I needed to get back to God but they were quickly dispelled.

I married in my early twenties and continued to think that “I was a good person” so I would get to Heaven eventually, even though, I admitted I would probably be in purgatory for awhile before getting there.  I never even thought that I could go to Hell.   My sin of Presumption.  I had to justify my behavior and we all justify our wrong behavior because that is the only way we would be able to live with ourselves.  Otherwise we would go mad.

After our daughter was born I went to Graduate School….it was during this time that I began to feel a deep sadness.  I couldn’t figure it out…I had everything I ever wanted.  A wonderful Husband and beautiful daughter and life was good.  But, it was not.  I would sit on the floor feeling darkness envelop me and I thought I was becoming depressed.  I didn’t know why but the darkness kept getting darker.  I could not escape it.

I decided I would go to confession.  I did, but it wasn’t a good confession.  I didn’t know my sins and I didn’t even know how to pray anymore.  There was no feeling or emotion left in me.  I was so distant from God.  I went from lukewarm to ice cold. I went to Mass a few times and then went back to my old way of life.

I do believe that even though I was in the sin of presumption,  thinking that I was ok, I knew deep down that if I would die at that particular moment, things would not be good.  I had a great fear of dying;  of getting into a car accident or something like that.  I  must have known deep down that dying without God, not loving God, or being in the State of Grace at death would and could be Hell for all eternity for me.   I did not voice those thoughts or even think those thoughts because if I had I would have changed my life.  Rather, I kept pushing it deeper and deeper within me not wanting to admit this scenario, but my conscious was trying to reveal this truth to me and I knew it.   Now, if you are in the state of grace or have enough reason within you, you will know that there is no fear in dying if you are right with God.  I knew I wasn’t right with God.

By the grace of God our daughter was going to a Catholic School and she would bring home prayers for me to say….she would tape them to the wall by our bed and ask me to say them.  They were prayers to the Holy Spirit.  I said them a few times and then forgot about them.  However, after a few years of this, and my seeing how virtuous she was, my heart began to melt.  I couldn’t figure out how I could be so bad and have a daughter who was so good.

By the time she was 12, I was becoming more and more open to God.  God used my parents, husband and daughter to bring me back to Him.  My father was having heart surgery and when I asked him what kind of books he would like me to get him to read during his recuperation phase, he gave me a list of religious books from Tan Books.  While going over his list, I decided to get some myself.  That was a true beginning for me.  Years before that, my parents bought my husband and I a painting of the Divine Mercy Image.  I stuck it upstairs on some obscure wall, not knowing what to do with it, and our daughter continued the mission God had in store for her.  She would make me angels, a crucifix, and give me prayers which she framed,  all wrapped up as gifts.  I was also forced by my husband to be the one to teach her about the Eucharist when she was to make her First Communion (which really made me irritated).

God’s plans are so mysterious in how He reaches out to us and brings us back.  He knows all of our pains and woundedness.  He knows how to soften our hearts like no one else ever could.  He knew why I left Him and He knew that one day, with the help of those whom I loved,  their love and patience would bring me back.  No one forced me to come back; I came back out of my own free will.

But, God allowed something to happen to me that hurried me along.   I hurt my back pretty bad so I was immobile for a long time.  I immediately ran to the Blessed Mother and began praying the rosary once again, which led me back to Jesus.  One day, I heard a Priest speaking about sin on EWTN.  I immediately was crushed with the deepest sorrow and soaked with my own tears.  I remembered the Painting of the Divine Mercy Image…ran to take it off the wall and held it in my hands and cried out to God to please give me a second chance.  I begged Him to not let me go to Hell but to please give me another chance.

You see, Satan was now tempting me with the sin of despair.  I was in the deepest state of despair believing that no matter what – I was now going to Hell and nothing could stop this from happening.   God was in control, I was bad and I basically made my choice.  I could not believe there was any hope for me.  After about 45 minutes of intense begging and tears that would not stop flowing,  I renounced my sinful life and began to bargain with God…telling Him I would change everything about my life; come back to Him;  learn about Him once again; and obey His commandments.  I wanted to love Him and get right with Him again.  At that moment, I began to get thoughts that I needed to call a Priest immediately and go to confession.  I did this and this Priest reassured me that once I repented and gave up my sinful life, God’s mercy was able to banish satans lies which told me there is no hope.  He told me that no matter what my sins were, no matter how bad they are, we can all be forgiven, if and only if, we are willing to repent and ask for forgiveness.

Afterall, look at the prophets of old.  Moses killed a man and look how God used him.  King David committed adultery and had the woman’s husband killed….yet God used him in a powerful way.   Trust me, God uses all of our weaknesses to help fulfill the mission each one of us has while on this earth.   The Apostles were commen men who were not saintly when Jesus chose them to lead the Church.

The only time one cannot be saved is when they are in the sin of despair because they won’t accept God’s forgiveness.  God will always forgive, but we must accept His forgiveness.  Judas could not believe he could be forgiven and hanged himself.  He was in the sin of despair.  Jesus so badly wanted to forgive him, but he (Judas) just couldn’t accept what he had done to Jesus and therefore felt as though Jesus could not forgive him.  What a terrible lie.

God Bless all of you and may you all have hope.  God will always be there for you and be there waiting for you to return to the fold.  But remember one thing…..none of us know the day or hour that we will be taken.  We don’t know if we have an hour left or 50 years….so don’t delay.

Pharaoh vs Our Government

I know this may be a bit weird, but for some reason I keep seeing the parallels between the time of Pharoah and the Israelites and our government/society  and Trump advocates.

We know that God works in very mysterious ways, but as Hebrews  13:8 states, “Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever”.   Always the same God throughout the history of mankind.

We know that we are going through a great purification which is meant to save our souls and bring us to repentance.  We know that the world is in chaos, moral values are being turned upside down… in other words, we are now calling evil good and good evil.

Isaiah 5:20

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

2 Timothy 3:1-5

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

2 Peter 2:1

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.

At every turn, no matter what President Trump says or does, groups within the government and media are coming against him with a ferociousness I have never seen the likes of.

President Trump is fighting for the People and for Christianity. We, the people, are praying to God to please deliver us from all this evil just as the Israelites did for 400 years. God has heard our prayers. I do believe that. I believe He is at work in our world right now and He is allowing the evil to be brought to a head and bringing all their evil deeds into the light.

These evil doers are no longer in the shadows….whether it be in the Church, our government, media or elsewhere. They have all grown very bold and prideful and they are fighting against every single one of us who wish to live by God’s laws. After all, That’s what this is all about.

Why do you think they have all turned on President Trump?  He is trying to bring back Christian Values,  save our Country from the One World Government Plan which is to take God out of our lives and institute Communist/Socialist values.

The ten plagues brought against the Egyptians was in response to Pharoahs unwillingness to let the people go.  However, in the end, God wins.  He brought the Israelites to safety by opening up the Red Sea and at the same time allowing the sea to fall back down upon the Egyptians who dared to follow.

Once the Israelites were in the desert, the Lord tested them.  It was during this time that they were being purified and it took 40 years of purification before they could finally walk into the promised land.

Where are we in all of this.  The Lord is using President Trump just as He used Moses.  In different ways of course, but the parallel is the same.  President Trump is asking Congress to implement laws that would protect the people; improve peoples lives;  reverse laws that come against Christianity and putting God back into our Society.  But they are fighting him every step of the way.

What are our plagues:  We are seeing wars and rumors of wars.   The war on ISIS, MS-13 gangs, floods, fires, destructive storms, diseases, famine, breakup of families, satanism flooding our schools, increased drug addictions, cultural and moral wars within our society, etc. etc. etc.

The Church will pay a heavy price for the evil that is going on there as well.  I think it was Pope Benedict who said that the Church will go through a great purification and in the end it will be much smaller, and very humble, but that it will rise up from the ashes and truly be a spiritual renewal for all.    Have you heard about the Priest who was caught with drugs at an orgy party with fellow Priests.  This was in Rome of course.  It’s absolutely crazy, but it does not disturb me because I see God working here….these poor individuals have been duped by the evil one and they will pay a heavy price for their deeds.

Look at all the lawlessness going on in our Government…..and they (lawmakers) look the other way.   It is all being brought into the light.  We don’t understand a lot of what is going on right now, but be at Peace.  Peace, because we know God is with us and working for us.

We will be set free from all of this evil inflicted upon us but we too, are being tested.  Stand your ground and be firm.  Stay with God and don’t reject Him.  Do not follow the evil laws or ways that are being implemented.  Some are even going to Jail because they refuse to follow the godless laws.  They will be rewarded.   Look at all the Christians who died for their Faith in God.  You may want to get to confession if you haven’t been there for awhile, for we never know when God will act.

One day soon, we too will be led to safety.  God will inflict His wrath upon the evil doers of our time just as He did to the Egyptians and Pharoah.  He is giving them many chances to repent right now…..many chances.  Keep praying and never give up.

Before I close I happened to come across something of interest.  It is Moroccan Argan Oil from  Check it out.  Supposed to be better than coconut oil for your skin, so if you have dry skin and need to rehydrate, look into this product.  Also, My daughter just told me about Moringa Oil, which I have not looked into yet.  I wrote about the Miracle Moringa Tree, so I would guess that the oil would be fabulous.

God Bless

Test your “friends”

Friendships are very important to all of us and this particular morning, while at Mass, I was asking the Lord about a certain “friend”.  I couldn’t understand why I was feeling bad about something in regard to this friend, when in fact, she didn’t do anything wrong.

Even the Bible has something to say about friendships which I find very interesting.  I have always loved this chapter on friendships in Sirach because it is so true.  So after receiving Holy Communion, I was given “instruction” on friends and was reminded to read Sirach.  This friend I am questioning, may be a friend but not the type of friend I  should consider becoming emotionally attached to or hold in high regard as I would a friend who has proved to be faithful through the good times and bad times.  I would say I have 3 such good friends….Two of them live a few hours away and I don’t see or speak to them much but when I do, it is as though we were never apart.  I trust them and I know they will always be honest with me.  They have always been there and if I do something stupid or wrong they are not afraid to tell me the truth.  I like that.

We are emotionally attached to our good friends and when they split its sort of like someone going through a divorce – not quite so dramatic, but you get the point.

Read what Sirach says about friends.

Friendships, according to Sirach 6: 5-17

5 A pleasant voice multiplies friends, and a gracious tongue multiplies courtesies.
6 Let those that are at peace with you be many, but let your advisers be one in a thousand.
7 When you gain a friend, gain him through testing, and do not trust him hastily.
8 For there is a friend who is such at his own convenience, but will not stand by you in your day of trouble.
9 And there is a friend who changes into an enemy, and will disclose a quarrel to your disgrace.
10 And there is a friend who is a table companion, but will not stand by you in your day of trouble.
11 In prosperity he will make himself your equal, and be bold with your servants;
12 but if you are brought low he will turn against you, and will hide himself from your presence.
13 Keep yourself far from your enemies, and be on guard toward your friends.
14 A faithful friend is a sturdy shelter: he that has found one has found a treasure.
15 There is nothing so precious as a faithful friend, and no scales can measure his excellence.
16 A faithful friend is an elixir of life; and those who fear the Lord will find him.
17 Whoever fears the Lord directs his friendship aright, for as he is, so is his neighbor also.

I am an introvert, so to me,  having a few friends is good enough.  I don’t want to have or hang out with a bunch of people.  I like having a friend that isn’t going to walk away when someone “better” comes along.  When this does happen, you have to rethink your relationship with that person or better yet, understand the type of person they are.  They aren’t bad, they just aren’t cut out to be that good friend and if you realize that from the start you will save yourself a lot of heartache and bad days.

Women, for the most part, go through emotional heartache because of friends.  My husband, on the other hand, doesn’t get emotional at all and doesn’t really care if he has a friend to speak to or hang out with.

Our expectations of others really is based on what kind of friend we are I guess.  I expect those whom I have a relationship with to be honest, genuine, kind, and faithful and when I deem that they have broken that trust, I realize that perhaps they really are not what I would call a good friend, but rather someone I can hang out with at times, but someone with whom I should not and cannot become attached to.  How many times I have thanked God that I did not reveal my “secrets” to certain individuals because once they turn on you, your secret is out for the world to know.

And you know what, that is exactly what the Lord revealed to me today about this person I was struggling with….a person whom I really like and have fun with, but yet someone who will leave at a moments notice to be with someone else if it suits her fancy, leaving me behind.   Save yourself from some of these human heartaches by going to the Lord and asking HIM about your friendships…who is and who isn’t worthy of your complete trust and fidelity.   Be on Guard towards your friends, says Sirach;  And I, for one, am listening.   Test them and see if they are worthy.  You see, isn’t it interesting and so true how God does indeed instruct us in our everyday lives….even when it comes to friends.  He has given us a roadmap to follow.

Friendships indeed are precious and when you have found a stable and faithful friend, you have found a treasure.

God Bless

Jesus’s Teachings on His Grace

I know it has been awhile, but I am knee deep in big gardening projects once again.  But I need to take the time to give you some information on the teachings of Jesus which are really interesting.

These teachings come from a little book called “My Daily Bread”, which has been given the imprimatur.

My Child, My grace is richer, deeper, grander, and more glorious than any other possession or achievement on earth.  It shows you what is better and more profitable for your eternal success.  It strengthens you against all earthly attractions and makes you the true master of your own life.

My grace brings you a yearning for Heaven and freedom from many earthly fears.  All graces are gifts from Me.  Actual grace enlightens your mind to see some truth more clearly and appreciate it more deeply then it gives your will an inclination toward the good which you see; and finally it offers you strength to follow that good, if you so desire.  Every actual grace contains these three elements.

I speak to different persons in different ways, according to their background, abilities and efforts.  I do not always use words when I speak within your soul.  Often My message is received and understood in an instant.  In your reading, reflecting, and prayer, I often speak to you.  I help you to understand more clearly what you read in books or hear in sermons.  The grandest sermon would be just so many words if I did not bless it with My grace.  It is I who enable the listeners to understand it, desire it, and live it.

My grace cannot help you unless you accept it and make use of it.  Read, reflect, and pray, so that you may better understand what I want you to know.  Make frequent use of My sacraments to gain strength for life’s daily activities.  Through My Church and your own interior life I will guide you each day toward eternal life. (The Divine Teacher, Chapter 2, pg 290; My Daily Bread)

While reading this myself today, It made me reflect upon something that happened to  me many years ago at the beginning of my own conversion.  I probably spoke about this in other posts but I will speak about it again.  I had just come back to the Lord after many years of being away from God and the Church.  One day, I had received some information in the mail with my Pieta Prayer Books which I had ordered.  There were articles on how to Receive the Eucharist.  In the hand or in the Mouth.  So, as I was reading the material I became so confused because it was saying we should never receive the Eucharist in our hands but only on  the Tongue.  I was confused because whichever Church I was going to the Priests were administering Holy Communion in the hand and everyone was taking it in the hand.

I was worried and began to cry about this thinking how badly I really needed to know the Truth of this situation.  So, I looked at an image of Jesus I had on my wall and begged Him to please tell me the truth… should I receive Him in the Eucharist….in the hand or on the tongue.

Immediately, without me realizing or knowing how it happened, I felt something prick my heart and instantly I knew without a doubt He wanted me to receive Him on the tongue.  In the above passage where I was quoting, Jesus says:   “I do not always use words when I speak within your soul.  Often My message is received and understood in an instant”.

This is exactly what happened to me.  I knew in an instant and I had no doubts whatsoever, and still to this day almost 20 years later, I remember every detail and still feel the same conviction.

I hope this little lesson helps you today, and God Bless you.   I am doing a few gardens for a local Church so I am off once again.  Have a beautiful and blessed day.

Satanists are casting spells on our President

I feel very compelled to repost this posting from Dan Lynch Apostolates.  I know this sounds so crazy, but I guess you can go to their websites ( the witches website) which is listed at the bottom of this article.

These past few months have been so bizarre.  No matter what President Trump says or does the left goes absolutely crazy and turns everything into huge scandals.  They are so blood-thirsty and want him impeached and have been talking about impeaching him since his inauguration.   Really there has never been anything like this, that I know of.

Remember the Scripture passage of Exodus 17:10

The Defeat of the Amalekites
…9So Moses said to Joshua, “Choose men for us and go out, fight against Amalek. Tomorrow I will station myself on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand.” 10Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought against Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. 11So it came about when Moses held his hand up, that Israel prevailed, and when he let his hand down, Amalek prevailed.…

What I am saying here is that WE must pray for our President.  We are fighting evil.  We are not fighting flesh and blood, but rather Satan and all his cronies.  This fight is our fight.  We must fight for the good of our Country.  The left is doing everything within their power to destroy President Trump because of His Godly agenda.  God, I believe, is calling for us to pray and fast for our Country.   You see how when Moses was interceding for his people they were winning, but when he grew tired and could no longer hold up his hands, the enemy prevailed.    This should speak to our hearts.

Satanists are promoting a movement to “Bind Trump” with “Magic Resistance”. They are regularly casting spells “to bind Donald Trump and all those who abet him every waning crescent moon at midnight ending when he is driven from office.” The spells began on February 24.

The witches’ spells involve lengthy incantations, calling on spirits and “demons of the infernal realms” to bind our President so that “he may fail utterly, that he may do no harm.”

Satanists are called to cast spells next Tuesday, May 23, at 11:59 PM. We are called to pray and fast against them, as Jesus said these are the weapons to defeat Satan. (See Matthew 17:21). “For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:10).

This is very serious. Satan has power to wreak havoc and those who invoke him empower him. Perhaps these spells are having their effect and we are seeing their results played out in the daily media attacks upon our President and his own apparent disorientation and confusing statements and actions.

However, we have the greater power with Jesus Christ who conquered Satan by his passion, suffering, death and resurrection.

St. Paul said to pray “for all in authority, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all devotion and dignity. This is good and pleasing to God our savior, who wills everyone to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:1-4).

So let us pray for America and our President by invoking our Patroness and our Queen, Our Lady of America, through the Novena to Our Lady of America for True Change and Hope for America.

You may see the Satanists’ websites here:

Once a Catholic, Always a Catholic??

“If you were able to stir your heart a little more deeply to the practice of meekness and true humility, you would be courageous. But you must frequently think of it. Prepare yourself to do so first thing each morning, and God will send you a thousand consolations.”

St. Francis de Sales, Roses Among Thorns

For some reason, as I was writing to someone the other day— an ex-Catholic who was looking for some information— the thought that came to me was “If Priests who leave the Church are still Priests forever, would it also mean that if Catholics leave the Church, are they Catholics forever?

This young man lives down the street and I hired him to do some work for me.  He noticed my “Stations of the Cross” stations  which I have outside among the Pine Trees and he commented how beautiful they were.  I was taken aback.  I never would have expected this from him.

He began to tell me his story.  He is a fallen away Catholic but is now going to his Uncle’s church (Baptist).  He was here on Good Friday and when he saw the stations he began to cry.  The Lords Passion meant that much to him.  He told me what a great sinner he was and how the Lord’s death never meant anything to him before, but now it moves him so much that he becomes very emotional just thinking about how Christ died for him.  I was moved and was like “wow”,  God certainly touched his heart.

He was moved to repentance and conversion when he had listened to a talk given by his Pastor Uncle and decided to stay in that Church because of that.  But, he said something that really made me think.  He said two things actually.  First, that if I could prove that St. Paul was Catholic he would come back to the Church immediately (He loves the writings of St. Paul and believes they are contrary to what the Catholic Church Teaches);   The second thing he said to me was that when he is at the Baptist Church he feels so light and he no longer has bad dreams.  When he walks into the Catholic Church he feels this heaviness and darkness.

Soooooo, I began to wonder about this heaviness and darkness he was talking about in regard to the Catholic Church.  The only thing I know for certain is that when we are in mortal sin we are in deep darkness and there is a real heaviness within us (without us even knowing it sometimes).  I also know from experience that when I was away from the Church and in mortal sin, I could walk into a Catholic Church and it meant nothing to me – there was no light whatsoever.  I also knew the feeling of being in darkness and feelings of complete emptiness.  A huge void in my life.

I told him that even though he repented and confessed his sins to God while in the Baptist Church – perhaps what he really needs to do, as a Catholic, is confess his sins to a Priest and receive absolution in order for the darkness to be totally gone – for then and only then would the mortal sins be removed and he would be back in the graces of God.   Darkness would have to leave and he would be inundated with the light of Christ.

Baptism in the Catholic Church, along with the other 6 Sacraments, are binding upon us just as a Priests vow is binding, unless they are officially “loosed”.  Remember, Jesus gave the Apostles the power to bind and to loose:

Matthew 16:19

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

Matthew 18:18

Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

John 20:23

If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”

So I began to do some research and this is what I found:

However, all that said, just because the Church recognizes people’s attempts to defect, it does not mean that the Church considers defectors to be non-Catholics. Perhaps they are not qualified to fill certain Church offices or join certain Catholic groups. Perhaps they are not required to get married in the Catholic Church for their marriage to be valid. But they are still considered Catholics and still bound by all of the laws of the Catholic Church, except the law that requires them to get married in the Catholic Church.

This is important for reconciliation. If a person has defect from the Catholic Church and goes over to the practice of another religion, then after a few years realizes that he or she has abandoned the truth faith and wants to return to the Catholic faith, that person does not need to go through the RCIA program to become Catholic again. That person is still Catholic and merely needs to go to confession.

If the person went into formal schism and met the requirements of an excommunication, then maybe he or she would also need to have the excommunication remitted. But if a person is excommunicated and is sorry, the excommunication must be remitted. But remember that even an excommunicated Catholic is still a Catholic, just one not permitted to receive the sacraments, fulfill offices in the Church, or derive other benefits from the Church. (EWTN Catholic Q&A)

So the bottom line: Once you are baptized into the Catholic Church or received into the full communion of the Catholic Church, then you are forever bound by canon law — with the only exception being the requirement of getting married in the Church if you leave by a formal act.

So there you have it.  So if you know of any fallen away Catholics you can let them know that all they need to do is go to Confession.  They are still Catholic unless they have formally defected from the Catholic Church.

As for St. Paul not being Catholic…..well I now realize that this is something that is floating around in the Protestant circle, but this can not be.  Jesus is not confusion or chaos – that would come from satan himself.  Also, as the Apostles were teaching they stated that  if any one teaches anything contrary to what they are teaching, be it Anathema to them (cursed). They never would have allowed St. Paul to be  among the twelve if he was teaching anything contrary to what Jesus gave them to teach.  Besides which, how and why would Jesus select 11 to teach one thing and one other to teach something totally different.  doesn’t make sense.  but here is an article on that too.

My People Perish for lack of Knowledge (Hosea 4:6)

“My People Perish for lack of Knowledge “(Hosea 4:6) was placed on my heart this morning.

I believe it all started when I was considering my life….looking back on what I have done – both good and bad.  What struck me was the correlation between “The Tree of Life” in the garden of Eden and the “Ten Commandments”.

This makes sense.  God told Adam and Eve that they could eat from any of the fruit in the garden except for one tree…“You are free to eat from any of the trees of the garden except the tree of knowledge of good and bad.  From that tree you shall not eat; the moment you eat from it you are surely doomed to die” (Genesis 2:16-17).

What did God tell us:

15 See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity. 16 If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God[a] that I am commanding you today, by loving the Lord your God, walking in his ways, and observing his commandments, decrees, and ordinances, then you shall live and become numerous, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess. 17 But if your heart turns away and you do not hear, but are led astray to bow down to other gods and serve them, 18 I declare to you today that you shall perish; you shall not live long in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. 19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live, 20 loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and holding fast to him; for that means life to you and length of days, so that you may live in the land that the Lord swore to give to your ancestors, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. (Deuteronomy 30:15-20)

These words are by all accounts the same thing as the words spoken to Adam and Eve.  He warned them that if they should disobey him, they would perish.  God spoke the same words to Moses to give to the Israelites.  Those words are for us today as well.  Hence, God said: “My people perish for lack of knowledge”.

What I want to talk about here are several things that we as a society are perishing simply because of our disobedience to the Lords Commandments.  Adam and Eve were thrown out of the Garden of Eden because of disobedience and what resulted was sickness,  death and hardships- precisely because of sin.

We too, have lost our prosperity and unity as a nation because of allowing grave sins to enter into our culture.  We are literally fighting a cultural civil war.  You have those on the one side demanding sinful laws while the other side is fighting to bring back our nation to a Godly Nation – one that is in obedience to the Lord.

This isn’t about President Trump, the man.  Rather, it is about President Trump trying to turn the tide.  The liberals are fiercely trying to protect their unlawful laws – They are in great fear of losing the war in this cultural battle.   Satan is leading them, and God is leading those who are trying to fight against sinful laws.

Many of those unlawful laws have to do with sexual orientation.  Same Sex Marriage, Homosexuality, Transgenderism, Abortion, Contraception, etc.   For years now I have heard the argument that Homosexuality is a result of these individuals “being born that way”.  This would of course mean that it is inherent in their genes.  If they can prove this then of course, who could argue against them?  That however is the problem (for them).

There have been numerous studies on this subject and I would like to link you to some of the evidence by Science which concludes that there is no such thing as a “Homosexual Gene”.

Mutable or Immutable?
homosexualScience has been enlisted to de-pathologize homosexuality in so far as it can lend credence to the assertion that homosexuality is an immutable condition. The immutability issue is as irrelevant to the moral nature of homosexual behavior as it is to alcoholic behavior. Alcoholics, by definition, are alcoholics for life. If they wish to remain sober, they may never drink again. (Article can be found here.)

Are Gays Born that Way?Most Americans now say yes, but Science says No
by STEVE RAY on JUNE 30, 2015

My Earlier article: Homosexuality in Genes and in Animals?

PRINCETON, NJ, May 20, 2015 ( — For the first time, a majority of Americans say that homosexuals are “born that way.

According to the latest Gallup poll, 51 percent of Americans say that people are born gay or lesbian, while only 30 percent say outside factors such as upbringing and environment determine sexual orientation.

However, science would not bear that out. No fewer than eight major studies from around the world have found homosexuality is not a genetic condition. (More here)

I would like to direct you to an excellent article “The New Intolerance”

The truth shall set us free if we but take an honest look at ourselves and our beliefs.  God is trying very hard to set us free from all of our false beliefs.  Many times we need these beliefs because we need to justify ourselves.  But that only puts us in chains.  Let God show you where you may have it wrong….I am doing the same.  The Truth will bring us back to a Godly life, happiness, prosperity and unity.

God Bless.
