Have you ever had that AHA moment. Well, a few days before Christmas as I was reading the interview that Cardinal Burke gave to Lifesite news I had that moment.
I now fully understand the implications of the “Dubia”, written by the four Cardinals to Pope Francis, asking him to clarify his position on whether or not divorced and/or unmarried individuals living together can receive Holy Communion.
What Pope Francis has written is Heresy. That is why he wrote it in such ambiguous terms causing confusion. The Cardinals want him to clarify and answer directly with a yes or no. Pope Francis, literally, has boxed himself in which is why he is so angry and doesn’t want to answer those questions. By admitting that yes, he is writing and saying that divorced and unmarried individuals in cohabitation can receive Holy Communion, he is teaching Heresy and he ceases to be Pope. On the other hand, if he says no he is not saying that at all, then he has to clarify and state that and all the Cardinals, Bishops, and Priests who are now doing exactly what Pope Francis said they could do, would have to stop or be heretical as well.
That would then mean that His agenda to change the teachings of the Church would have to stop. Cardinal Burke stated that they wrote to Pope Francis in September and He still has not given them an answer. He also stated that because this is a teaching of Faith and Morals, they will get their answer. Apparently, sometime after Christmas and Epiphany they will move forward to force the issue.
Praise God we still have some really good Cardinals who take their vows seriously and will not let the Pope cause Schism in the Church. Although, really, it has already started. Our Church is deeply divided, once again, between the liberals and the conservatives. Sounds just like Politics doesn’t it. They (the liberal Clergy) are acting like the liberals who are still bent on changing the results of the election and causing so much havoc.
Pope Francis’s aim is to totally change our Faith, which He simply cannot do, without being in Heresy. So there you have it.
In any event, Pope Francis has two choices. Step down from the Papacy and move to Siberia or something; or admit his errors and have a major change of heart and conversion and start teaching the truth of what Jesus Christ Himself taught us through the Disciples and Scripture. Hopefully, all those bloggers who have maintained that we are heretics for questioning Pope Francis, will seriously look into their own hearts and repent for misleading their readers while slandering those who were searching for the truth.
Like I said before, you can always tell when something is coming from satan. Those who vilify, accuse and try to shame into believing the way they believe is never, ever from God. This is and has been the case from those in the political arena as well as those from the Clergy.
Looks to me like we are going to have a showdown rather quickly in regards to the Church and our Government. Life is going to get very interesting.
Here, below are a few more articles of great interest.
This is not the only drastic change Pope Francis has on His agenda. He is also considering letting women become Deacons; allowing Priests to be married (apparently trial run in Brazil); and allowing Lutherans to receive Holy Communion (which has already been done).
I feel it is my responsibility to pass on information that you must discern – We need to know the truth. Our souls depend on knowing the truth, especially when it comes to our Faith.
There has been so much going on….Actually, I am overwhelmed with all that has been happening within our Church, Government, and our Familys. So much division, lies and anger coming from all quarters.
I remember well what a wonderful African Priest once told me. This Priest was the one who told me to kneel before the Blessed Sacrament as he prayed to the Lord that my back be healed. I was healed by the way. He said to me the most important thing I should pray for was discernment. He said discernment helps with all of the other gifts. Discernment is indispensable.
We can see that is definitely true in the times we are now living. It would be so easy to travel down the wrong path these days by just “following along”. We can no longer do that. We can no longer trust everything we hear from those in the pulpit. The reason being is that many of those who have been trusted with protecting souls have gone astray.
I will provide you links to many articles that you can fact check. The sources that I am providing, I think, are very reliable and honest in their writings.
The issue at stake here is in regard to the letter on the family written by Pope Francis. 4 Cardinals have made public what they call the “dubia” written to Pope Francis asking for clarification on his statements in this letter. Pope Francis chose not to answer them.
Cardinals Brandmüller, Burke, Caffarra and Meisner have performed a signal service to the Church by sending five dubia on the apostolic exortation Amoris laetitia to the Holy See, requesting an authoritative clarification of the meaning of that document, and then making public the text of the dubia when no response to them was given. Cardinal Burke has performed a further service to the Church by explaining this initiative in an interview with Edward Pentin of the National Catholic Register on Nov. 15th 2016, and stating that if no response was given to the dubia the cardinals would have to make a formal act of correction of a serious error.
As is proper, the dubia were formulated in a manner appropriate to an official request of this kind, and the formal act of correction to which Cardinal Burke refers is an act with a legal character. Catholics may find it helpful to be given a presentation of the canonical, historical and theological background to the dubia and the suggested act of correction, and to the situation that has led to the action of the Cardinals. This background is no doubt well known to the four Cardinals, but it is less accessible to those who lack their specialised knowledge. This article is intended to help with the comprehension and appreciation of their initiative. More here.
Kazakhstani bishop hails ‘courageous’ cardinals who wrote to Pope Francis asking for clarity
A Kazakhstani bishop has issued a strong defence of the four cardinals who wrote to the Pope asking for clarity on Amoris Laetitia, saying that they are the victims of “hush-up strategies and slander campaigns”.
In an article for the website Rorate Caeli, Bishop Athanasius Schneider seemed to be responding to an open letter from the Bishop Fragkiskos Papamanólis, the retired Bishop of Syros, who accused Cardinals Raymond Burke, Carlo Caffarra, Walter Brandmüller and Joachim Meisner of heresy, scandal and risking a schism. Spadaro’s Hypothesis of Adultery as Moral Duty Also Found in Amoris Laetitia
Father Spadaro has been a busy man.
Between forcing Ross Douthat to issue a correction over his reporting of a Twitter spat and to insinuating that this publication is “one of the anti-papal American blogs that were the ‘echoes’ of false news” to appearing to accuse papal critics of being under the influence of the devil to his general portfolio of bizarre online behavior, the “pope’s mouthpiece” is beginning to talk almost as much as the pontiff he works for — and in no less troubling a fashion.
Dan Hitchens, deputy editor of the Catholic Herald (UK), expressed something we’re probably all feeling: More here. (1P5)
Bishop Schneider likens treatment of four Cardinals to Soviet regime: ‘We live in a climate of threats’
ROME, Italy, December 6, 2016, (LifeSiteNews) — Before a packed room in Rome’s Centro Lepanto on Monday, Bishop Athanasius Schneider of Kazakhstan urged the faithful to ardently hold on to the Church’s Magisterium on the indissolubility of marriage within the current state of ongoing ambiguities.
“When Christ preached 2,000 years ago, the culture and reigning spirit were radically opposed to Him. Concretely religious syncretism ruled, also Gnosticism among the intelligent leaders, as well as permissibilism among the masses — especially regarding the institution of matrimony. […] The sole purpose of the Son of God was to reveal the truth to the world.”
With these words, Bishop Schneider opened his presentation in the presence of Cardinals Raymond Burke and Walter Brandmüller and Auxiliary Bishop Andreas Laun of Salzburg, Austria.
Schneider continued with a presentation on the history of the Church’s dealings with marriage and its irregularities beginning from the Old Testament to modernity with specific references to early Christian writings by Henry VIII of England and Napoleon I, and recent discussions. Head of Greek Bishops Accuses Four Cardinals of Heresy, Apostasy, & Schism Steve Skojec November 22, 2016
The number of attacks on the four cardinals for their presentation of dubia on Amoris Laetitia are mounting rapidly. Two out of three of the new American Cardinals — Joseph Tobin of Newark and Cardinal Cupich of Chicago — spoke out just yesterday against the four cardinals. Tobin, described the dubia as “troublesome” and went on to say, More here. (1P5)

Comments by Bishop Schneider on Schism (interview with EWTN)…reprinted from IP5
Schism is a mortal sin against the faith of the Church which the Catechism of the Catholic Church describes as breaking the first of the Ten Commandments, “You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.” We are required to nourish and protect, with prudence and vigilance, the faith handed to us by the apostles and the individual gift of faith given us as a grace by God. We must do everything in our power, with assistance of the Holy Spirit, to reject all that is opposed to the Faith.
As Bishop Schneider warns, an unspecified number of clergy are in a state of internal schism against the divine truth of Christ, and they are employing evil means to hide the reality of their schism including the tactic of intimidation and moral violence. To justify their schism these ecclesiastics are also attempting to project the accusation of schism against clergy, such as the Four Cardinals, who are prudently and earnestly seeking to protect the faith. The personal insults and attacks directed at the cardinals who submitted the dubia indicates the truth about who are the real schismatics, for schism is a sin against charity.
Reprinted from OnePeterFive: Rorate Caeli has released a translation of a remarkable interview, originally published in 2008, with Cardinal Carlo Caffarra of Bologna. In it, he references correspondence he had with Sister Lucia, the principle visionary of Our Lady at Fatima:
Q. There is a prophecy by Sister Lucia dos Santos, of Fatima, which concerns “the final battle between the Lord and the kingdom of Satan”. The battlefield is the family. Life and the family. We know that you were given charge by John Paul II to plan and establish the Pontifical Institute for the Studies on Marriage and the Family.
>Yes, I was. At the start of this work entrusted to me by the Servant of God John Paul II, I wrote to Sister Lucia of Fatima through her Bishop as I couldn’t do so directly. Unexplainably however, since I didn’t expect an answer, seeing that I had only asked for prayers, I received a very long letter with her signature – now in the Institute’s archives. In it we find written: the final battle between the Lord and the reign of Satan will be about marriage and the family. Don’t be afraid, she added, because anyone who operates for the sanctity of marriage and the family will always be contended and opposed in every way, because this is the decisive issue. And then she concluded: however, Our Lady has already crushed its head.
Talking also to John Paul II, you felt too that this was the crux, as it touches the very pillar of creation, the truth of the relationship between man and woman among the generations. If the founding pillar is touched the entire building collapses and we see this now, because we are at this point and we know it. And I’m moved when I read the best biographies of Padre Pio , on how this man was so attentive to the sanctity of marriage and the sanctity of the spouses, even with justifiable rigor on occasion.
Does this come as any surprise to those watching the events currently unfolding in the Church? We have referenced various apparitions in the past that are related to this, beginning with Our Lady of Good Success, in the 17th century:
“Thus I make it known to you that from the end of the 19th century and shortly after the middle of the 20th century…the passions will erupt and there will be a total corruption of morals… As for the Sacrament of Matrimony, which symbolizes the union of Christ with His Church, it will be attacked and deeply profaned. Freemasonry, which will then be in power, will enact iniquitous laws with the aim of doing away with this Sacrament, making it easy for everyone to live in sin and encouraging procreation of illegitimate children born without the blessing of the Church… In this supreme moment of need for the Church, the one who should speak will fall silent.”
When we reflect on the division among prelates at the Synod, Our Lady of Akita comes to mind:
“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres…churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.” (OnePeterFive)
The following article is very interesting which also needs to be discerned. Catholic Relief Services, an organization most Catholics have known about for years….Are they another Judas???
Catholic Relief Services, Judas, and Mammon (OnePeterFive)
In the 16th Chapter of Luke, Our Blessed Lord gives a parable of an unjust steward, and concludes: “No servant can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” One example of this dichotomy is richly exemplified in the person of Judas Iscariot. More here.
You know what is really scary: how the satanists are infiltrating our schools and government. listed below is a number of satanic events that have taken place in our country. They truly have become emboldened and we need to stop them. This information was taken from “America Needs Fatima”.
The Satanic Temple infiltrating our schools (9 so far) to “teach” our children the “virtues” of Satanism. They have already started in a school in Portland, Oregon and they will spread to Tacoma, Washington this coming December 14.
Professed Satanists running for public office (California).
The Greater Church of Lucifer setting up shop in a family-friendly shopping district in Old Town Spring, Texas.
This past August 15th, the Feast of the Assumption, after conducting a Black Mass and mocking Our Lord Jesus Christ, Satanists in Oklahoma performed what they call the Consumption of Mary. This involved decapitating Her holy image, pulling a pig’s heart from inside the statue and eating it, then smashing what remained of Her sacred image. This was done in a public venue; people paid money to watch this on a stage.
In 2015, Bert’s Entertainment Complex in Detroit unveiled the Satanic Temple’s 9-foot tall statue of the demon Baphomet with two children next to it. In addition, this statue was designed to allow children to climb up and sit on the demon’s lap.
Fox TV recently aired a new series on prime-time television called Lucifer. The program was designed to mainstream the devil, making him appear to be a likeable and misunderstood young man.
Oklahoma City granted Satanists a permit to hold a public sacrilege in front of St. Joseph Old Cathedral on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2015. One Satanist poured stage blood over a statue of the Virgin Mary treated with “sulfur powder and ash.”
The Satanic Temple attempted to hold a black mass at Harvard University, a time-honored institution meant for America’s best and brightest.
In Phoenix, Arizona, Satanists tried to introduce an opening prayer (to Satan) at the City Council meetings. They failed. However after a long legal battle, they succeeded in eliminating all prayer from city council meetings.
I am going to repost an article which is so dear to me – after I write my thoughts on this. I believe my mission in life, since my conversion, is to speak about the Eucharist to whomever will listen. I am to give evidence of how we are to receive the Eucharist and of His True Presence in the Eucharist.
I know I have written about all of this before, but just seeing it coming from someone who is much more informed than myself, gives me a tad more confidence to continue speaking about it.
This is and can be difficult because often times your loved ones and friends who really do love the Lord, do not want to hear that they may be doing something that isn’t what God is wanting them to do. Afterall, they are doing it for the Lord. It can be difficult to believe that what you have been taught over the years is really not true Catholic Teaching, but rather, a teaching that came from the enemy who had infiltrated the Church.
I cannot change others and I cannot force my beliefs or the evidence I have for those beliefs upon others. I understand that my job is to speak it out and then let God do the rest. Afterall, everything is grace. There is a time for everything. Sometimes our hearts are not ready to hear the truth of what we are hearing – and it can be for many reasons. The Lord knows those reasons so He knows how to deal with those individuals. I don’t. It is not up to me to judge either.
My difficulty in discussing this subject has everything to do with the Second Vatican Council. It is precisely during that time that everything changed. So how do you decipher what is from God and what is from the enemy? Seeking Truth is the only way. I needed to know truth and I asked the Lord to please let me know the truth. I begged HIM for this truth. I received this Truth. “Seek and you shall find”. If I was doing something displeasing to Him I wanted to know about it so I could change it. I truly wanted to know and I was ready to change everything and do anything for the truth.
So, here’s the article. Enjoy.
Lay Eucharistic Ministers: A Communist Connection?
On June 29, 1972, on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of his coronation, Pope Paul VI declared to the world, “From some fissure the smoke of Satan entered into the temple of God.” The pope was referencing the diabolical forces that had infiltrated the Church through the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965).
Now a key objective of Vatican II was the empowerment of the laity, in keeping with its theme of “active participation of the faithful.” With the Council came the new definition of priesthood as The people of God. It saw the whole Church as one hierarchy or priesthood, but in different ranks, with the ordained ministerial priesthood being only one rank of this priesthood. What was proposed was the fallacy that we are all priests of one hierarchy.
“The common priesthood of the faithful and the ministerial priesthood are nonetheless ordered one to another; each in its own proper way shares in the one priesthood of Christ.” (Lumen Gentium 10)
It is a well-known and documented fact that the agents of Communism began entering our Catholic seminaries as far back as the 30s for the purpose of destroying the Church from within. Over a thousand such agents had infiltrated the seminaries prior to 1940. The testimonies of ex-communists like Bella Dodd and Manning Johnson who had testified before the House Un-American Activities Committee more than confirm that these agents of the sickle and hammer had been building their forces against the Church with the intention of breaking in and indoctrinating the faithful with anti-Church principles.
Their plan was to first absorb Catholic philosophy and teaching in the seminaries so as to give them inside access to masterfully communicate and pull the Catholic hierarchy away from their traditional roots, so that they in turn would embrace revolutionary ideas and become pawns of ecclesial subversion. The Leninist “clenched fist” ideal would now be applied in a spiritual way where the “empowerment of the laity” would be a means of overthrowing the Church’s monarchical structure, so that a new sense of democracy and religious liberty would take precedence over the established rule of religion issuing from the Seat of Peter.
Hence we have the modern-day role of lay Eucharistic ministers — a role that supposedly empowers the faithful to perform the priestly function of giving Communion. Eucharistic ministers indeed have been empowered, but their empowerment is not from God. What we’re seeing today is Marxism in full swing. The insidious efforts of communists to infiltrate the Church are now manifest through this and other practices such as female lectors and lay liturgists. These role changes were part of a well-orchestrated plan to undermine the priesthood and bring about a spiritual revolution that would later ensue under the pretext of a “renewal.”
Bella Dodd said in the early 50s: “In the 1930s we put eleven-hundred men into the priesthood in order to destroy the Church from within.” Twelve years before Vatican II, she said, “Right now they are in the highest places in the Church.” She predicted that the changes they would implement would be so drastic that “you will not recognize the Catholic Church.”
Dodd explained that of all the world’s religions, the Catholic Church was the only one feared by communists. Her work as a communist was to give the Church a complex about its heritage by labeling “the Church of the past as being oppressive, authoritarian, full of prejudices, arrogant in claiming to be the sole possessor of truth, and responsible for the divisions of religious bodies throughout the centuries.”
The focal point of attack would be the Holy Eucharist, as we read in the alleged memoirs of communist agent AA 1025, whose briefcase was discovered after being killed in an auto accident in the mid-sixties. “To weaken more the notion of ‘Real presence’ of Christ, all decorum will have to be set aside. No more costly embroidered vestments, no more music called sacred, especially no more Gregorian Chant, but a music in jazz style, no more sign of the Cross, no more genuflections, but only dignified stern attitudes. Moreover, the faithful will have to break themselves from the habit of kneeling, and this will be absolutely forbidden when receiving Communion…. Very soon, the Host will be laid in the hand in order that all notion of the Sacred be erased.” Again AA 1025 says, “In the Mass, the words ‘Real Presence’ and ‘Transubstantiation’ must be deleted. We shall speak of ‘Meal’ and ‘Eucharist’ instead. We shall destroy the Offertory and play down the Consecration and, at the same time, we shall stress the part played by the people. In the Mass, as it is today, the priest turns his back to the people and fills a sacrificial function which is intolerable. He appears to offer his Mass to the great Crucifix hanging over the ornate altar. We shall pull down the Crucifix, substitute a table for the altar, and turn it around so that the priest may assume a presidential function. The priest will speak to the people much more than before. In this manner the Mass will gradually cease to be regarded as an act of adoration to God, and will become a gathering and an act of human brotherhood.” The foregoing coincides with leaked plans of the Masonic P2 Lodge in Italy that were issued just before Vatican II. Consider this excerpt from their 34 guidelines that were made effective in March of 1962. “Get women and laity to give Communion, say that this is the Age of the Laity. Start giving Communion in the hand like the Protestants, instead of on the tongue, say that Christ did it this way. Collect some for Satan Masses.” If anyone would question the diabolical nature of the Freemasons, let him consider the testimony of Albert Pike (1809-1891), the American high priest of Freemasonry who was elected in 1859 as Sovereign Grand Commander of the Southern Supreme Council, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, and who later became Provincial Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of the Royal Order of Scotland in the United States. He addressed fellow initiates with the following: “To the crowd we must say: we worship a God, but it is the God one adores without superstition. To you, Sovereign Grand Inspectors, we say this, that you may repeat it to the brethren of the 32nd, 31st and 30th degrees: all of us initiates of the high degrees should maintain the Masonic religion in the purity of the Luciferian doctrine. If Lucifer were not God, would Adonay, the God of the Christians [Jesus Christ], whose deeds prove his cruelty, perfidy and hatred of man, his barbarism and repulsion for science, would Adonay and his priests calumniate him? Yes, Lucifer is God, and unfortunately Adonay is also God. Religious philosophy in its purity and truth consists in the belief in Lucifer, the equal of Adonay.” – Albert Pike, as quoted in A. C. de la Rive: La Femme et l’Enfant dans la Franc-Maconnerie Universelle, page 588. Can we understand now why the Church today has been virtually overthrown by the post-conciliar revolution? Vatican II opened its doors and invited these agents of Satan to sit in on the Council and participate in the drafting of its documents. Or hadn’t it occurred to us why the 1964 Vatican II Instruction Inter Oecumenici (Article 48) commanded that the traditional prayer to St. Michael at the end of Mass be “suppressed”? Obviously the old devil didn’t want the faithful praying against him.
The same document (Article 91) states: “The main altar should preferably be freestanding, to permit walking around it and celebration facing the people.” This coincides with the memoirs of the above-mentioned agent who said, “We shall stress the part played by the people” and who complained that “the priest turns his back to the people and fills a sacrificial function which is intolerable.”
There is no arguing that the faithful are called to have “active participation” in Christ, but this participation consists principally of silent meditation on the Passion and contemplation of the Sacred Mysteries, not in assuming priestly functions or engaging in liturgical busy-body activity. We are called to sanctify our souls and to work out our salvation “with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12), which means we must respect Christ’s monarchical authority and not attempt to assume functions which we are not authorized to perform.
If the Catholic hierarchy would simply follow rules and regulations and keep with the Church’s 2000-year tradition of having only consecrated priests administer Communion, their household wouldn’t be in such a shambles today. If heresy and apostasy now abound, it’s because the hierarchy has lost confidence in the rule of tradition, fulfilling St. Paul’s prophecy: “There shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but… will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.” (2 Timothy 4:3)
If priests would dump their modernist inventions and let down their nets the traditional way, they would again bring up a marvelous catch for Christ; but if they continue on their present path of change and “renewal,” they will continue laboring all night in the dark as they have since the Council.
If the Church today is largely ignorant of the physical and supernatural presence of Christ in his sanctuary, it is in no small part because of these socialist lay-empowerment movements through which the Eucharist has been profaned. The Eucharist is the very heart of the Mystical Body around which the entire Church must revolve, therefore the members of Christ are dead members if they will not adore His True Body in the manner commanded by Christ, namely, by receiving on the tongue and from a priest only.
It was not without reason that St. Basil declared Communion in the hand to be “a great fault.” St. Thomas Aquinas taught:
“Because out of reverence towards this Sacrament, nothing touches it, but what is consecrated; hence the corporal and the chalice are consecrated, and likewise the priest’s hands, for touching this Sacrament.” (Summa Theologica)
The Council of Trent reaffirmed the Church’s continuous teaching forbidding lay people from administering Communion.
“It must be taught, then, that to priests alone has been given power to consecrate and administer to the faithful, the Holy Eucharist. That this has been the unvarying practice of the Church… as having proceeded from Apostolic tradition, is to be religiously retained.” – The Catechism of the Council of Trent
St. Paul warns that “whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the Body and of the Blood of the Lord… For he that eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Body of the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 11: 27,29)
Hence it would be better never to receive Communion than to go up everyday in cafeteria fashion and receive from people who are not legitimately empowered to administer the Body of Christ. Though it has become a widely accepted “common-law” practice today, the use of Extraordinary Eucharistic ministers at Mass is illicit in that it radically breaks with the Church’s 2000-year tradition.
The argument that Pope John Paul II sanctioned the use of Eucharistic ministers is itself suspect, since there is evidence that he opposed this practice. The following is from Redemptionis Sacramentum, an instruction issued by the Congregation for Divine Worship during his papacy on March 25, 2004.
“If there is usually present a sufficient number of sacred ministers [priests] for the distribution of Holy Communion, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion may not be appointed. Indeed, in such circumstances, those who may have already been appointed to this ministry should not exercise it. The practice of those Priests is reprobated who, even though present at the celebration, abstain from distributing Communion and hand this function over to laypersons.” (Article 157)
How is it that most Catholic parishes today are embroiled in this lay ministry program in spite of this and other like prohibitions? It’s because the tumor of Communism continues to spread its cancerous errors throughout the Church. The ugly hand of Communism has truly reached in to desecrate the Holy Eucharist.
Let us pray that the pope will finally consecrate Russia to the Blessed Virgin, so that the red tumor can be eradicated and health can be restored to Christ’s Mystical Body. (Author David Martin)
This term, Feminine Genius, was coined by St. John Paul II. It struck me in a powerful way for several reasons. One, women are generally not spoken about in this fashion. Two, Women, it seems to me, are struggling with what their role is in the eyes of God and society.
I found these passages, in the book, “Saint John Paul the Great” very interesting and enlightening: He wrote:
“….contemporary feminism finds its roots in the absence of true respect for woman. Revealed truth teaches us something different. …In our civilization woman has become, before all else, an object of pleasure. It is very significant, on the other hand, that in the midst of this very situation the authentic theology of woman is being reborn. The spiritual beauty, the particular genius, of women is being rediscovered.
In every Gospel episode involving meetings with women, they find their independence at Christ’s side. The public sinner becomes a promised bride, a sister.
He (Pope John Paul II) reminded women that “Men must be taught to love, and to love in a noble way; they must be educated in depth in this truth, that is, in the fact that a woman is a person and not simply an object.
Feminism has helped change the face of our society in dramatic ways –
Feminism has stripped women of their dignity of Motherhood. A great, great gift given to women to bear and nurture children. Women who have many children are sometimes mocked; women who want to stay home and raise their children are not given the respect they deserve for such a challenging job such as this. Women began to believe that in order to receive the respect they deserved they needed to look elsewhere for their fulfillment. This is not to say that women should not work. Women have always worked from the beginning of time. But, we as women, should be proud of our gifts which were given to us, and to us alone. We should not abandon the one true gift given to us because of how society looks at Motherhood.
In 1966, Betty Friedan and other prominent feminists formed the National Organization for Women (NOW). NOW became the umbrella organization for many feminist causes, uniting older, college-educated, predominantly white women. These second-wave feminists, such as Ms. magazine founder Gloria Steinem, pushed for access to the pill, abortion, equal employment opportunity, reduction of violence against women and more. Two years later, in 1968, the first national feminist conference took place in Chicago.
Anarcho-communist organizer Emma Goldman theorized and advocated for an integrated philosophy of women’s liberation, anti-capitalism and anti-authoritarianism. Aside from advocating free choice in sexual relations, she called for access to birth control. She served as a mentor to Margaret Sanger who went to found the American Birth Control League (which eventually became Planned Parenthood) and become an extremely visible advocate for access to family planning.
Some would say feminism is about basic human rights and that it’s just a modern social movement. The truth is, the feminist movement is neither modern nor social in its origin. At its roots are ancient, highly religious elements that are rarely, if ever, mentioned.
The spirit of radical feminism is the spirit of witchcraft and rebellion, the spirit manifested in Jezebel. It is the spirit which rejects God’s lawful order and authority and tries to usurp that authority to itself, as did Eve in the Garden of Eden. More
Feminism resulted in birth control (an abortafacient) and from there abortion. Then along came same-sex marriage. What do all these have in common – little or no children. Looking at China, they have a one-child policy. However, just recently I do believe they have rescinded that and have gone to two children. But, you notice that their one child policy also meant only boys would be tolerated. If it was a girl, they were told to abort. From this came an increase in divorce and the number of single moms.
The Birth Control Pill is the most popular and widely used method of hormonal contraception. It involves taking a month-long series of pills—three weeks of pills containing hormones, and one without. This allows the woman to have a menstrual period. The Pill contains two synthetic hormones, progestin and ethinyl estradiol and has three mechanisms: 1) it prevents ovulation, 2) thickens the cervical mucus, which makes it harder for sperm to enter the uterus and 3) affects the endometrium or lining of the womb to make it more hostile to implantation. This means the tiny developing baby (embryo) cannot attach to the uterine lining and dies, which is a very early abortion. Even so, they define this as “preventing pregnancy.
It is interesting when you think about what Lucia, the visionary of Fatima, had to say about the end times. She said:
Back in 1980 the one surviving visionary, Sister Lucy, wrote an important letter to Monsignor (now Cardinal) Carlo Caffarra. After Pope John Paul asked him to begin a new Pontifical Institute for studies on marriage and the family, Caffarra wrote to Sister Lucy, simply requesting her prayers for this venture. He has recently made known his surprise at receiving “a very long letter with her signature. . . . In it we find written: ‘The final battle between the Lord and the reign of Satan will be about marriage and the family. Don’t be afraid, because anyone who works for the sanctity of marriage and the family will always be contended and opposed in every way, for this is the decisive issue.’ And then she concluded: ‘however, Our Lady has already crushed its head.’”
This reassurance is encouraging, because fifteen years after Sister Lucia wrote that letter, Cardinal Luigi Ciappi (1909-1996), personal theological adviser to five popes, made a stunning disclosure about that part of the Fatima secret that the Vatican has never released (and which is evidently referenced by the enigmatic word “etc.” in the published part of Our Lady’s message). His Eminence, one of the few persons who had seen the complete secret, wrote in a 1995 letter to Professor Baumgartner of Salzburg: “In the Third Secret it is predicted, among other things, that the great apostasy in the Church will begin at the top.” More here
So here we are. We are now in the great battle in regards to marriage and family. Pope John Paul II, who was well aware of what was happening, knew that he needed to encourage women in their rightful roles given to them by God. He knew satan was attacking the family and marriage, but more specifically women. He wrote a letter to women, on the dignity and rights of the woman, which can be found here.
Lucia said that the great apostasy in the church will begin at the top. well, that seems to clarify matters as well. Pope Francis with his Synod on the Family and his Exhortation is definitely confirmation of all that Lucia spoke of in regard to the Blessed Mothers warnings.
Here is a letter from Alice von Hildebrand which also corroborates the above.
I think the following two conversations, which I recall very well from the 1960s, are of particular interest now, in these deeply troubled times half a century later. For they apparently corroborate Cardinal Ciappi’s testimony that part of Our Lady’s Fatima secret was the shocking prediction that the great apostasy in the Church would begin “at the top.” More here.
So now lets look at another part of this story. We know satan is waging war against women in order to destroy marriages, the family, and the Church. The Blessed Mother had this to say to a Spanish Conceptionist Nun, Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres in the late 1500’s.
Thus, I make it known to you that from the end of the 19th century and from shortly after the middle of the 20th century…the passions will erupt and there will be a total corruption of morals, for Satan will reign almost completely through the Masonic sects. They will focus principally on the children in order to sustain this general corruption. Woe to the children of these times! It will be difficult to receive the Sacrament of Baptism and also the Sacrament of Confirmation. They will receive the Sacrament of Confession only if they remain in Catholic schools, for the Devil will make a great effort to destroy it through persons in position of authority. The same thing will happen with the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Alas! How deeply I grieve to manifest to you the many enormous sacrileges – both public as well as secret – that will occur from profanation of the Holy Eucharist… My Most Holy Son will see Himself cast upon the ground and trampled upon by filthy feet… Often, during this epoch the enemies of Jesus Christ, instigated by the Devil, will steal consecrated Hosts from the churches so that they might profane the Eucharistic Species… The Sacrament of Extreme Unction will be little valued. Many people will die without receiving it… As for the Sacrament of Matrimony, which symbolizes the union of Christ with His Church, it will be attacked and deeply profaned. Freemasonry, which will then be in power, will enact iniquitous laws with the aim of doing away with this sacrament, making it easy for everyone to live in sin and encouraging the procreation of illegitimate children born without the blessing of the Church… Added to this will be the effects of secular education, which will be one reason for the death of priestly and religious vocations. The Sacrament of Holy Orders will be ridiculed… The Devil will try to persecute the ministers of the Lord in every possible way; he will labor with cruel and subtle astuteness to deviate them from the spirit of their vocation and will corrupt many of them. These depraved priests, who will scandalize the Christian people, will make the hatred of bad Catholics and the enemies of the Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church fall upon all priests… Unhappy times will come wherein those who should fearlessly defend the rights of the Church will instead, blinded despite the light, give their hand to the Church’s enemies and do their bidding. But when [evil]seems triumphant and when authority abuses its power, committing all manner of injustice and oppressing the weak, their ruin shall be near. They will fall and crash to the ground. Infiltration of the Catholic Church here.
The masons are behind the feminist movement, changes in the Church Liturgy and norms and infiltrating the Church itself. so in regards to the Church, how did the masons plan on using women for their own end such as Eucharistic Ministers and Altar Servers. The Masonic Plan for the Destruction of the Catholic Church are 33 directives of the Grand Master of the Masons to all the Catholic Bishops, effective since 1962. All Mason brethren will have to report on the progress of these crucial provisions. Revised in October 1993 as a progressive plan for the final stage All masons employed in the Church must welcome them and carry them out. See article here.
No. 29 states:
29. Have the distributing of Communion done by women and lay people. You say that this is the time of the laity. Begin with giving Communion in the hand, as do the Protestants, rather than on the tongue. Explain that Christ did it the same way. All directives here.
Martyr and Saint Cardinal John Fisher “Times of flowering or collapse within the history of the Church were always associated with the handling of the Holy Eucharist.” (1835)
FROM ‘WARNINGS FROM THE BEYOND’
At 16 years of age, Anneliese Michel (d 1976, incorrupt) was suddenly afflicted with demonic possession. The local Bishop ordered an exorcism. These are details and revelations given by demons during a series of exorcisms performed from August 14,1975 to March 30, 1978. The demons were Akabor, Allida, Judas Iscariot, Veroba and Beelzebub. The excerpts confirm the existence of the imposter pope and also mention other subjects. Speaking through the possessed woman the demons were forced to tell the truth by Our Lady under the Solemn Church exorcism. The demon was forced to give the following account. here.
Women we have been used. However, by the Grace of God, we can change this. God has a very special plan for Women and Men. Our roles are distinct and in today’s world they have been totally blended together. God created us equal, but with different roles.
The divine Sixth Commandment which prohibits every sexual act outside of a valid marriage, would no longer be universally valid if exceptions were to be admitted. In our case: the divorced would be able to practice the sexual act and they are even encouraged to it for the purpose of conserving reciprocal “fidelity”, cf. AL, 298. One would be able, therefore, to exchange “fidelity”, in a style of life directly contrary to the expressed will of God. Moreover, to encourage and legitimize acts which are in themselves (in se) and always contrary to the will of God, would be to contradict Divine Revelation. (Bishop Schneider)
I am very excited to reblog a posting from ArchBishop Schneider on the Exhortation of Pope Francis. This posting is reblogged from (fromrome.wordpress.com)
I am excited because I feel vindicated and confirmed that I have not spread anything false about our Pope or Faith. ArchBishop Schneider very succinctly explains this exhortation and the teachings of our Catholic Faith, which come from the Word of God. The sixth Commandment, to be exact.
Bishop Schneider speaks on “Amoris Laetitia”
The recently published Apostolic Exhortation « Amoris Laetitia » (hereafter abbreviated AL), which contains a great spiritual treasure for Christian life in matrimony and family for our age, has unfortunately in short order provoked contradictory interpretations even among the episcopate.
There are bishops and priests who have publicly and openly declared that AL has furnished an manifest opening to Communion for the divorced who have remarried, without asking them to live in continence. Under this aspect of sacramental practice, which according to them would now be significantly changed, would truly consist the revolutionary character of « Amoris Laetitia ». Interpreting AL in reference to irregular couples, one President of an Episcopal Conference has declared in a text published on the very website of that Conference: « One treats of a measure of mercy, of an opening of heart, reason and spirit for which no law is necessary, nor is there need to wait for any directive or directions. One may and one ought to put it immediately into practice ».
Such a view was further confirmed by the recent declarations made by Fr. Antonio Spadaro, S. J., who after the Synod of Bishops in 2015 had written that the Synod had laid down « a foundation » for the access to Communion by the divorced who have remarried, « by opening a door », which was left closed in the preceding Synod in 2014. Now, Father Spadaro in his own commentary on AL, says that his predication has been confirmed. The same Fr. Spadaro is said to have been a member of the group which redacted « Amoris Laetitia »-
A way open to abusive interpretations seems to have been indicated by Cardinal Christoph Schönborn himself, who, during the official presentation of « Amoris Laetitia » at Rome, had said in regard to the proposal of irregular unions: « The great joy that this document gives me rests in the fact that it overcomes in a concrete way the artificial clear external division of “regular” and “irregular”. » Such an affirmation suggest the idea that there is no clear difference between a valid and sacramental marriage and an irregular union, between venial sin and mortal sin. Read entire article here.
Some quick excerpts from article:
In admitting, even in only exceptional cases, the ‘divorced and remarried’ to Holy Communion without asking them to cease to practice the acts contrary to the Sixth Commandment of God, by declaring presumptuously, moreover, that their acts are not grave sin, one chooses the easy road, one avoids the scandal of the Cross. Such a pastoral practice for the ‘divorced and remarried’ is an ephemeral and deceitful pastoral practice. To all who pedal such an easy path at a cheep price to the ‘divorced and remarried’, Jesus turns, even today, with these words: “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a scandal to me, because you think not according to God, but according to men! Then Jesus said to His disciples: « If any wills to follow Me, let him renounce himself, take up his cross and follow Me. » (Mt. 16:23-25),
The servile and politically correct are causing a pernicious evil in the life of the Church. The famous bishop and theologian of the Council of Trent, Melchior Cano, O.P., pronounced this memorable phrase: “Peter has not need of our lies and adulations. Those who, with closed eyes and in an indiscriminate manner defend every decision of the Supreme Pontiff, are those who compromise most of all the authority of the Holy See. These are destroying Her foundations rather than strengthening them.”
Our Lord taught us, without ambiguity, by explaining in what consists true love and the true joy of love: “He who keeps My commandments and observes them, he is the one who loves Me” (John 14:21). In giving men the Sixth Commandment and the observance of the indissolubility of Matrimony, God has given them to all without exception and not only to an elite. Already in the Old Testament, God declared: This commandment which I prescribe to thee today is surely not above your strengths, nor beyond your doing” (Deuteronomy 30:11) and “If you want to, you will observe the Commandments; being faithful will depend upon your goodwill (Sirach 15:15). And Jesus said to all: “If you want to enter into life, observe the Commandments.
Praise God for His faithfulness. When we pray and ask God for confirmation that we are doing His will, and not leading others astray, He hears our prayers. I received this article today and now I am 100 percent confident in my assessment of Pope Francis. Jesus always said “Be not afraid”. lets spread this far and wide and get the truth out there. Truth must be revealed in its entirety and that is what we laypeople can do for our world. We need to suffocate all the falsehoods that are coming at us so rapidly that we barely have time to think. This is evangelization and you who spread the truth of the Word of God shall be protected – so do not worry about “following the crowd”. Following the crowd is the wide and easy road to perdition. Thats not for us.
That reminds me of another article I just read on The Amazing Power of Gratitude. Read here. Enjoy and God Bless.
We have entered a very important time in our lives. We will now be faced with a dilemma of sorts – one that we have not had to worry about until now. That is who can we trust and who should we follow if the Church is divided?
I pondered this question for some time this week and the name that keeps popping up in my head is Cardinal Burke. Watch him and keep your eyes and ears open to what he is saying and doing. This Cardinal is very orthodox and from comments he has made in the past, I do believe he will remain faithful to the 2000 year old teachings of the church.
He is not afraid to speak TRUTH, yet he is also pragmatic, calm, and filled with the wisdom of Christ. So far, anyway. We also know he is a humble man. When he was removed from his post in the Vatican only to be replaced by a liberal from the United States, he accepted this without complaint. He was reassigned to a remote outpost really – something that is of little importance.
If you are blessed to have a Priest who can see the truth of what is going on with this new exhortation by Pope Francis, then I do believe you will be ok. He will lead you down the right path. If, however, you have a Priest defending the works of Pope Francis, you will need to keep your eyes and ears open to what Cardinal Burke is saying.
I, myself, will have to look for direction from Cardinal Burke. Our Parish Priest is very orthodox and tries his best to teach the Truth of our Catholic Faith – however, for some reason, he is not seeing the disparity in the exhortation. This confuses me immensely, but I do respect my Priest.
As much as I respect Charlie Johnston, I do not understand his belief in this Pope. The only thing I can figure out when he says that Pope Francis is for our times, I would totally agree with that statement, because in order for the division to come upon our Catholic Church we would need a Pope such as Pope Francis. Pope Benedict would have been solid in his teachings on the church and would not be ambiguous – we would know what is truth and what is not truth. Pope Benedict refused to bend to anyone and would clearly say that what is going on is nothing more than “false Mercy”, false Humility, False Teachings. Confusion is from satan. This exhortation is the epitome of Confusion. The Holy Spirit is never, ever confusion or deception. Never. Pope Benedict and Pope John Paul were very concise and explicit. They were not afraid to speak the truth. Pope Francis walks around the truth until we are so confused we don’t know which end is up and which end is down.
I want to give you an example that is so blatant that it seems impossible that anyone can even excuse the Pope for such comments:
Moreover, it is known that, only a few weeks before the publication of Amoris Laetitia, Cardinal Müller made a public statement ruling out the idea of “remarried” divorcees having a permissible access to Holy Communion, saying that this is only legitimately possible if they loyally live as “brother and sister.” This is the exact opposite tendency of Pope Francis’ exhortation, in which he states that some “remarried” couples might even have to keep up their active sexual relations in order to preserve their “marital” fidelity, also for their children, and where he gives allowance for some of these couples even to have access to the Sacraments (footnote 329 in exhortation)
“If its words mean anything, it is saying that a non-married couple may ‘discern’ that to be sexually intimate and still receive the sacraments ‘is what God himself is asking amid the concrete complexity’ of their lives,” said one Dominican theologian in Rome, speaking on condition of anonymity. If this is indeed a correct reading, he predicted that such a development will mean that “Kasperites, and people who promote sex outside of marriage, will now declare that under the sign of Amoris Laetitia they have conquered.”

This is a very interesting and tell-all article about an interview with Cardinal Kasper, who is so delighted with the Pope’s exhortation. I found this article on OnePeterFive blog.
When asked whether there is also a new tone within the Church, Kasper answers: “Yes, a new tone.” He also responds in a more positive way to the question as to whether the German Bishops’ Conference now have a “tail wind” and says: “Certainly.” And he continues, in the context of the question about “remarried” divorcees, by saying that Pope Francis has agreed with him about making some “humane decisions.” The German cardinal recounts how he once told Pope Francis about a priest whom he knew who had decided not to forbid a “remarried” mother to receive Holy Communion on the day of the First Holy Communion of her daughter. Cardinal Kasper himself concurred with that priest’s decision, saying: “That priest was fully right.” About his further conversation with the pope, he added these words: “I told this to the pope and he confirmed my attitude [with the following words]: ‘That is where the pastor has to make the decision.’” Kasper concludes: “There is now a tail wind to help solve such situations in a humane way.”
Kasper also says in this interview with regard to the admittance of “remarried” divorcees to the Sacraments: “The door is open. … There is also some freedom for the individual bishops and bishops’ conferences. … Not all Catholics think the way we Germans think.” And he concludes: “Here [in Germany,]something can be permissible which is forbidden in Africa. Therefore, the pope gives freedom for different situations and future developments.”
and then again:
Pope Francis visited the Lutheran Community of Rome on 15 November 2015. Among those who accompanied him was one influential cardinal: Cardinal Walter Kasper; not present was another influential cardinal: Cardinal Gerhard Müller, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF). These two cardinals, both German, are very different – the former a promoter of progressive “pastoral change,” the latter a defender of the 2,000-year-old moral teaching of the Catholic Church. A journalist from the radio station of the Diocese of Cologne, Germany, Domradio.de, later observed in an interview with Cardinal Müller that it was not to Müller that the pope referred after being openly asked whether a Protestant could receive Holy Communion under certain conditions – but, rather, Cardinal Kasper. (The observation sounded more like an attempt to add insult to injury, and was met by Müller’s silence.) According to the website of the Vatican itself, Pope Francis, when asked whether the Protestant spouse of a Catholic could receive Holy Communion, responded as follows:
Regarding the question on sharing the Lord’s Supper, it is not easy for me to answer you, especially in front of a theologian like Cardinal Kasper! I’m afraid! More here. (onepeterfive)
what???? He is, after all, the Pope. Why wouldn’t he know the Church Teachings on this matter. He does know the Church Teachings – but instead of speaking the truth to her he told her to talk to the Lord and go forward.
Lutherans receive Communion at Vatican after meeting with Pope: report (Lifesite News)
ROME, January 21, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – A group of Finnish Lutherans were offered Holy Communion by priests at a mass held in St. Peter’s Basilica following a meeting with Pope Francis on January 15, according to a report by the Finnish periodical Kotimaa 24.
Lutheran bishop Samuel Salmi was visiting the Vatican as the head of a delegation that included a youth choir that was to perform there. Salmi says he met privately with Pope Francis.
After the personal audience with the pope, the delegation was present at a celebration of the Catholic mass. According to Salmi, at the time of communion the non-Catholics placed their right hands on their left shoulders, a traditional way of indicating that they were ineligible to receive the Eucharist. However, the celebrating priests insisted on giving them communion.
Salmi told Kotimaa 24 that “I myself accepted it [Holy Communion].” He added that “this was not a coincidence,” and nor was it a coincidence when last year the pope seemed to accept the notion of a Lutheran woman receiving communion with her Catholic husband. The original article, written in Finnish, was translated for LifeSiteNews by Voice of the Family’s Maria Madise.
At that time the pope acknowledged that “explanations and interpretations” of communion may differ between Catholics and Lutherans, but “life is bigger than explanations and interpretations.” He advised the woman to “Talk to the Lord and then go forward.”
I think you get the idea as to how deception has entered into our Church with a vengeance. There may be many of you out there who truly believe in this Pope and believe with all your heart and soul that what he is doing is good. In fact, Jesus said that “even the elect will be deceived”. He also said there will only be a remnant who will adhere to the true teachings of the Catholic Church. I hope to be part of that remnant and my greatest fear, really, is being deceived by the deceiver. So far, you can see it is the great majority who believe in and love this Pope of ours. I wish I could say I did, but quite honestly, I don’t. I will respect him and try not to say anything that is not true, but I have to speak the truth of what I know.
Oh My, this is truly hard to believe…it is true. Pope Francis wants to change our thinking on specific areas of Church Doctrine. I was browsing the 1Peter5 Blog and you can see for yourself here. The problem with his exhortation on the family is that many people will think he has the right to change doctrine, but he does not…therefore, this document does not have the authority of the Popes Office who speaks magisterially.
To clarify, this is what Cardinal Burke tells us:
Boiled down, Cardinal Burke’s point is essentially this: stop saying the apostolic exhortation is a revolution in Church teaching, because it can’t be a revolution in Church teaching, because the exhortation is non-magisterial and by definition does not have the authority to change church teaching or practice, and to say it has done so causes scandal.
To boil it down even further: the exhortation can’t change church teaching, and therefore it didn’t. Full stop. more here.
So here we have the Pope suggesting, to the lay person, who is considered in a state of mortal sin that its ok to receive Holy Communion. He is telling the clergy to look at each situation on a case by case basis and then make a decision as to whether or not they would permit these individuals to receive Holy Communion. The Popes exhortation can not force the clergy to accept his opinions and thoughts on the matter. However this is very confusing because he is saying “yes” its ok to do, but yet at the same time, he is also telling them to judge each case in light of magisterial teaching.
Well for pete’s sakes, the magisterial teaching says “NO” to all those scenarios. So just what is his point? What is he trying to do…..?????
I understand that many people have tried to give him the benefit of the doubt or justified everything he says or have tried to EXPLAIN away his words and actions, but we really do need to open our eyes and ears and listen to the Holy Spirit Now. This is not a game or a little news snippet to gossip about. This has huge implications for what is to come.
About this time last year I was given a vision of the church split in two and then I heard the words “Synod of the Family”. I was given to understand that the results of this Synod would split the Catholic Faithful in two different and opposing camps.
We each get to believe what we want to believe – but I do remind everyone that we will all answer to God at some point. We know we are in the period of tribulation and we are suffering this period precisely because we have gone against God. The Church is being purified because of the sins of the clergy. Do we want the respect of man or of God. That is the question. Who will we follow?
The Faithful will be persecuted…. and the faithful are those who are faithful to the Church Teachings which have been taught since Jesus Christ walked the earth. We cannot go against what Jesus taught. These are not man-made rules.
If you still do not believe we have entered the end times period, please note the horrific storms going on across the globe. Earthquakes, tsunamis, snowstorms, flooding, raging fires, and more. Thousands upon thousands of poor souls losing their homes and living on the streets or in their cars. My gosh….we are there.
I knew this moment was coming, but I am still in a state of shock at how open and blatant Pope Francis speaks about this situation. He isn’t even hiding it – others are trying to hide it and make excuses for him…. but not him. May God have Mercy on Him is all I can think to say and all the clergy who go along with this new exhortation of his. They will have to suffer for every soul that they lead astray. That is pretty scary.
Number of Catholic writers expressing concern about Pope’s exhortation rapidly growing:
There are many good articles about the Pope’s exhortation which can be found here.
The last four things of our lives is Death, Judgment, then Heaven or Hell. We get to choose which place we enter for all eternity. Although God has the last word on whether we live or die, we have the last word on whether we repent and choose life or stay in sin and choose death. Often times we are struck with various diseases and it is at this point that we begin to seriously consider God and our lives. God doesn’t want death, He wants healing and He is trying so hard to show us that He is Mercy….it is when we don’t accept His mercy that we must face His justice. When we are facing great trials in our lives, the Lord has shown us in scripture, over and over again, that His ultimate concern is our souls first, …then our physical healing.
Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, “See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you.” (John 5:14)
The Prayer of Faith: James 5:13-16, 19-20 13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
I feel a great burden to write about this for the simple reason that many do not think about their death until it is too late. How often I hear the words “I am a good person, I won’t go to hell”. I used to say those same words only I would add that “I probably won’t go straight to heaven, but will end up in purgatory”. This was at a time when I did not know God anymore. He was totally absent from my life. How satan deceives us when we are in darkness. Without God, we are groping around like blind men. We think we are ok, but in reality we have taken the wrong path and do not know it—the path that leads away from God for all eternity. It was a serious back injury that led me back to God and thank God for that because I don’t know where I would be today… that was my greatest blessing and time of joy.
I have two people in my family suffering from Cancer. My father has pancreatic cancer and my youngest brother just found out he has throat cancer; the Dr’s told him if he doesn’t have surgery to remove the tumor, which would include taking out his voice box, he will choke and die. Neither one knows the end result and they are facing their ultimate destiny of Death, Judgment, Heaven or Hell.
” For whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him”. (Hebrews 11:7)
Count it all joy, my brethren, when you meet various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing….but let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind….Blessed is the man who endures trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life which God has promised to those who love him”. (James 1:2-3, 6,12)
You can be sure a large portion of the worlds population is facing this same scenario – Most of us, I am sure, know someone who is facing death at this moment. In one sense, this is a huge blessing from God…to be given time to reflect on ones life, make changes if necessary, and get things in order. Those who die suddenly are not given this opportunity.
When we die, we will face God and we will know all the good and the bad that we have done. We will see truth clearly. We will not be able to deny anything God shows us. All of those sins which have never been confessed will be shown to us. All those sins which have been sincerely confessed will never be brought up to harass us. I have read numerous accounts where it is we who decide where we ultimately go. We will know without a doubt where we belong….Heaven or Hell. Purgatory is a place that will ultimately get one to Heaven so if you make it to purgatory you made it.
Sin is something that we don’t often think about and it is sometimes difficult to determine what is sin and what is not sin, especially if one is away from God. Then we seem to think nothing is a sin except maybe the gravest of all sins such as murder, stealing, adultery, etc. I was reading an account of a young woman from Colombia who was hit by lightening and had a near death experience. She was born and raised a Catholic but fell away from her faith. She was a successful Orthodontist and felt pretty good about her life – until she saw God.
She was given another chance because some poor farmer saw her picture in the paper and started praying to God to save her soul. God hears our prayers for others and wants nothing more than for all of us to be saved. This poor woman was given another chance but first she was shown where she would have gone since she died in a state of mortal sin. Its frightening really, because I look back on my own life and know I would have been facing the same judgment she was facing had I not made the decision to change my life in a radical way and to make God a huge part of my life….and do things His way – not my way. She was blown away and I was blown away by her testimony. If you would like to either listen to her story or read it, I posted it below.
Very well, brothers and sisters, blessed be the Lord. It’s a miracle that I am here with you sharing this beautiful gift that I received from the Lord, 10 years ago. This occurred on May 5, 1995, at the National University in Bogota. On that day, it was around 4:30. My husband was with me in the car, my 23-year-old nephew, an orthodontist, and myself, also an orthodontist. We were on our way to the Orthodontist Facility of the University to pick up some books.
It started pouring rain. We only had a very small umbrella with us. My nephew and I went under the umbrella. We started jumping over puddles. When we jumped to avoid stepping into a very large puddle, we were struck by lightening. My nephew and I were killed by the lightening. My nephew’s interior organs were completely burned, charred, but his exterior was left intact. He suffered cardiac arrest and he did not respond to the paramedics’ attempts to resuscitate him. The lightening burned me horribly. The lightening entered through my arm. It burned my breasts. My breasts were completely gone. It removed all of the flesh from my stomach and my reproductive organs. My legs were totally and completely charred, I mean completely. The lightening exited through my right foot.
As far as the interior of my body, my liver was completely charred, as well as my lungs and my kidneys. My kidneys were gravely burned. I used to use the IUD as a form of birth control. You want to know the words that the doctors used to describe my ovaries? “Your ovaries look like raisins.” The doctors told me, “You’ll never have children again.” My ovaries were burned and I was in cardiac arrest. Rest of the story Here.
I guess I would like to really implore anyone who has left the faith of Catholicism to return – go to confession and repent deeply of all sins. Make sure you are in God’s grace now. Eternity is forever. Don’t let pride stand in the way – if you aren’t sure how you believe, you can always ask God – He will tell you. For all non-catholics, I implore the same thing….go before God and confess your sins and do what He tells you. Truly, sin is not worth an eternity of Hell. Pray for those you do not know. I am being asked to pray for souls throughout the entire world who are suffering from sickness and disease – but most especially cancer. You never know how God will use those prayers. We could be saving someone’s soul and perhaps even their life.
Everyone who is of the truth, listens to my voice(John 18:37)
God the Father entrusted Mother (Sister) Eugenia, Superior General of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of the Apostles with a mission. According to Alexandre Caillot, the Bishop of Grenoble, ” Its precise object is to make God the Father known and honored mainly by the institution of a special feast which has been requested of the Church. The real object of this special feast thus becomes plain: to honor the Father, to thank Him, to praise Him for having given us His Son, in a word, as the message states, as the Author of our Redemption; to thank Him Who loved the world so much that He gave His only-begotten Son, so that all men might be brought together in the Mystical Body of Christ and, together with this Son, become His children. I deem it proper to let her continue her work. I believe that the hand of God is in all this. After ten years of research, reflection and prayer, I bless the Father for having deigned to choose my diocese as the place for such touching manifestations of His love.”
So what is the message God the Father wishes to speak to us, His children:
Our Heavenly Father says the following:
This is the real purpose of My coming:
I am coming to banish the excessive fear that My creatures have of Me, and to show them that My joy lies in being known and loved by My children, that is, by all mankind, present and future.
I am coming to bring hope to men and nations. How many have long since lost it! This hope will make them live in peace and security, working for their salvation.
I am coming to make Myself known just as I am so that men’s trust may increase together with their love for Me, their Father. I have but one concern: to watch over all men and love them as My children.
Time Presses. I wish men to know as soon as possible that I love them and that I feel the greatest happiness in being with them and talking with them, like a father with his children.
I am the Eternal One, and when I was alone, I had already thought of using all My power to create beings in My image. But material creation had to come first, so that these beings could find their means of sustenance; it was then that I created the world. I filled it with all the things I knew would be necessary to men: air, sun and rain, and many other things that I knew to be necessary for life.
In the end, man was created! I was pleased with My handiwork. Man sins, but it is precisely then that My infinite generosity shows itself.
I come among you in two ways: The Cross and the Eucharist!
The Cross is My way of coming down among My children, since it is through it that I caused My Son to redeem you. And for you, the Cross is the way to ascend to My Son, and from My Son to Me. Without it you could never come to Me, because man, by sinning, brought on himself the punishment of separation from God.
In the Eucharist I live among you as a Father with His family. I wished My Son to Institute the Eucharist so as to make every tabernacle the vessel of My favors, My riches and My love, to give them to men, My children. It is always by these two means that I cause both My power and My infinite mercy to come down ceaselessly. Because, having instructed My Son to institute the Holy Eucharist, I intended to come to you every time you receive the Sacred Host! When I am in you, I can more easily give you what I possess, provided that you ask Me for it. Through this Sacrament you are intimately united with Me. It is in this intimacy that the outpouring of My love makes My holiness spread into your souls.
The Work of this third Person of My divinity is carried out silently and often man is not aware of it. But for Me it is a very fitting way of living, not just in the tabernacle, but also in the souls of all those in a state of grace, to establish My throne in them and to live there always, like the true Father Who Loves, protects and helps His children.
In the Book of Exodus you read that God must be held in special veneration. The Psalms of David, especially contain this teaching. In the commandments which I myself gave to Moses, I emphasized: “You will worship and love perfectly only one God.”
I know your needs, your desires, and everything in your hearts. But how happy and grateful I would be if I saw you coming to Me and confiding in Me your needs, like a son who has total trust in his father. How could I refuse you the smallest or biggest thing if you asked Me? Even if you do not see Me, do you not feel Me very close to you in the things that happen to you and around you? How you will be rewarded, one day, for having believed in Me, even without having seen Me!
Do not think of Me as that frightening old man whom men depict in their pictures and books! No, no, I am neither younger nor older than My Son and My Holy Spirit. Because of this I would like everybody, from the youngest to the oldest to call Me by the familiar name of Father and friend. For I am always with you, I am making Myself similar to you so as to make you similar to Me.
I now repeat My promise which will last forever:
All those who call Me by the name of Father, even if only once, will not perish, but will be sure of their eternal life among the chosen ones.

Tonight as I was doing a little reading I happened upon a statement made by Pope Emeritus Benedict. He said “The courage of the truth is, in my eyes, a criterion of the first order of sainthood in these times”. (veritas-vincit-international.org/2014/08/05/). Hence, the title of this post.
That statement convicted me because there are a number of issues which I know I am being asked to speak about, and I did to some degree already, but the Lord wants more. It can be kind of scary which is why we need to pray for courage to always speak the truth when the Holy Spirit places it upon our hearts to do so. You, I am sure, know what I mean. There are probably many things you would love to say to others but don’t because of the abuse or rejection that follows. I guess that is probably what makes me cringe inside when I am being asked to talk about various issues. But then, Jesus always says “Be not afraid”.
From the beginning of my conversion I knew I had a mission….and that mission involved the Eucharist. I do not know the details but I do know that I am to give people the truth of what I know and not be afraid. At first, I was not afraid….but then, after speaking of what I knew to my new Catholic friends and Priests, I became fearful. I became hesitant to speak about it again.
It was in December of 1998 around midnight when I fell into a light sleep. I was praying for peace in our world when all of a sudden my dream changed to something I will never forget. Everything was erased from my mind…it was totally blank. Then I saw a golden yellow screen come down- like at a theater. Only it was golden in color. I looked and saw a figure coming towards me from way off in the distance. Once this figure came close I saw that he was dressed in beautiful armor, from head to toe. I did not know who this was and still don’t. ( Although, I am thinking it could be St. Michael the Archangel since he is the guardian of the Tabernacles in all Churches). But, once he stood directly in front of me, he opened a door on the chest of his armor and in it was baby Jesus in the Eucharist. I immediately fell to the ground and adored Him. He then showed me that I was to lead others to the truth of His True Presence in the Eucharist. There was more, but this is all that I need to relate at this point.
The two truths that I must once again speak about is in regard to the Eucharist and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Only this time God has made it easy on me. I have been sent a really good video by Rev. Schneider in regard to the Eucharist, entitled “Reverence Matters” and a recent posting by Charlie Johnston in regard to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Charlie grew up in a Protestant Family but after receiving messages he became Catholic. He explains how he really had trouble praying the Rosary and asking Mary to intercede.
Information is powerful and information can lead us to or away from God, depending on where it comes from. If you stop at this point and ask the Lord to send His Holy Spirit and speak to your heart, before you listen to the video or read the article, and that you would have an open heart, I am quite sure the Lord will oblige. Remember Pilot at the Crucifixion when he said to Jesus “What is Truth”? The truth is meant to set us free. We should love truth more than our love of what we want to believe is truth, or of what we may have grown up with. Coming to terms with the truth can be painful and very uncomfortable. It really does take us out of our comfort zones.

And now for the article on the Blessed Virgin Mary, I repost it here below.
Mary and the Saints – For Protestants
By Charlie Johnston
I was in my early 20s when I went to my first Catholic Mass as a worshipper. Oh, I had been to many in my teens as a hired trumpet player, but the musicians in the choir loft don’t follow the same rules as the regular worshippers as far as standing, kneeling and sitting. For a lifelong Protestant, attending your first Mass is a very baffling disorienting affair. People just spontaneously stand up, or sit down, or kneel, or talk back to the priest in unison for no reason you can quite fathom. Within about 10 minutes of the beginning of Mass, I found a woman near the front row who seemed to know what she was doing – so I just determined to watch and do whatever she did.
A few years after my conversion, I was at a wedding Mass where there were a lot of baffled Protestants. About 15 minutes in I realized, with a little irony, that some of them were carefully watching me. Now, apparently, I was the guy who looked like he knew what he was doing. I must confess, every time I am at a Mass that I know has drawn a lot of Protestants out, I have to fight back the temptation to do a cartwheel in the aisle – just to see how many do one with me.
Cradle Catholics cannot imagine how disorienting and baffling even the liturgy is to lifelong Protestants. Even more puzzling is the Catholic devotion to various saints and to the Virgin Mary, the Mother of Our Lord. Even the language of faith can be perplexing, for often the two camps mean different things while using the same words. Throw in that Catholics often have a hard time explaining what, exactly, they believe, much less why they believe it – and that many Evangelical Protestants have often been told some pretty absurd caricatures of what Catholics profess and it is a wonder the encounters are not even more awkward and confused.
Now, I am not going to discuss everything that Catholics do not believe here that many think we do. I will also note from the outset that some Catholics abuse what the Church teaches in ways that help foster misconceptions about what the Church actually teaches. I am only going to focus here on Mary and the Saints – and what the Church actually proclaims.
Many Protestants believe that we worship Mary, in particular, and the saints to a lesser extent. I know – that’s what I used to believe, because that’s what everybody said. To the contrary, when we pray to a saint, including Mary, we are asking them to pray for us, usually for specific intentions. Everyone of faith, Protestant or Catholic, asks their friends to pray for them. It is so common and well-accepted no one disputes the propriety of it. Many Protestants only count those on earth among the communion of the faithful and, thus, properly to be asked for prayers. Catholics consider all the faithful, both in this world and in the next, to be among the communion of the faithful. If it is proper and fruitful to ask friends here to pray for you, how much more fruitful to ask those who already behold the Face of God?
Some argue, though, that it is improper to ask those who are dead to pray for us. Yet in Luke 20:38 and Mark 12:27, Jesus notes that Moses called God the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – and that He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to Him. If all the faithful are alive to God – and Jesus says they are – then it is at least as good to ask St. Peter to pray for you as it is to ask your cousin, Peter, to do the same. That is properly what Catholics are called to do.
We do not worship any of the saints, including Mary. Rather, together with all the saints, we worship the One God alone, the Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Contrary to the belief of many, including many Catholics, the Catholic Church has no power whatsoever to “make” saints. That power belongs to God, alone. The power the Church does have is to recognize infallibly a small handful of the saints God has made. A person is not honored by being recognized as a saint here. If he is a saint, he already has received all the honor he may ever receive by being called to join the heavenly host. The honor is less meaningful to the saint than it would be to give a King a participation certificate for attending a pancake breakfast. That does not mean it is a matter of indifference to the saint involved, for his love still calls him to the same thing it did while he walked this earth: call his fellows to the joy and peace which is in Christ. That takes us to why God chooses to reveal some saints to us in the first place. It is not for their sake, but for ours.
Saints come in all shapes and sizes. There are those whose lifelong purity and steadfastness are breathtaking and astounding. But to limit saints to icons of improbable virtue is an error, if a common one. More often, their sanctity is demonstrated by their transcendence of their own flaws and limitations through their love of God, manifested through their love of those around them. Oh, how I would that people would read good biographies of the saints! St. Francis, that great icon of poverty, purity and love of the poor, was once a wealthy, reckless dandy. St. Augustine was a cynical manipulator of public opinion and a lusty rake in his early life. St. Mary Magdalene was once a prostitute. Saints are often portrayed as universally soft-spoken, gentle souls. But many were lions – and often irritable lions at that. St Teresa of Avila was known for her tart tongue. St Catherine of Sienna was not shy about directing and cajoling Popes, though she was discreet about it. That popular modern saint, St. Padre Pio, was often abrupt and scathing – even as he submitted with humility to errant efforts by his superiors to suppress his spirituality and charges of fraud and humbug from critics.
Among the saints can be found virgins and those notable for the abundance of their progeny, peasants and kings, pacifists and warriors. In fact, saints are to be found from almost every walk of life. Some New Age commentators have used this fact as evidence that there are many paths to God, which is a trivialization of what is true. What is true is that there are many trails to the single path that leads to God, which is the way of love. Love is the only motivation strong enough to sustain a noble purpose through trials, hardships and even martyrdom. God gives each person a unique personality, then intends that authentic personality to be used for a unique mission in His service to His people. For each fundamental quality of a man, there is a disordered and a properly ordered manifestation of that quality. God has uses for a passionate man, but passion can easily manifest itself as cruelty or lustfulness. God has uses for a soul of notable purity, but even that can degenerate into self-righteousness and an arid sterility. Weighted down by the burden of original sin, we are constantly tempted to use our talents to serve ourselves and our own appetites. Transformed by love of God, the saints use those talents in service of their neighbor, which they love in the image of God. They often struggle with the old disorder, but progressively live service with ever greater fortitude and resolve. The sinner constantly asks, “What about me?” The saint constantly seeks to hearten those around him. A pretender can – and often does – use the forms of piety for mere self-aggrandizement, a species of blasphemy. A saint does not hesitate to get his hands dirty to bring the hope of God to those furthest from Him. A pretender is sensitive to any hint of insult to his imagined dignity. A saint is impervious to any slanders seeking to keep him from caring for those around him. Whatever he says, a pretender is always looking inward, concerned about what events mean for him. A saint is always looking upward to God and outward to the needs of those around him.
The great variety of saints can help hearten us that whatever the nature of our authentic personality, God has use for it. We can find friends among the saints, people who shared trials and temptations similar to our own. We can ask for their prayers and guidance just as we would a trusted, bosom friend. We can find inspiration in how they handled similar troubles – and hope in how they transcended them by trusting to God.
If there is so much variety among the personalities of authentic saints, what is the heart of sanctity, the visible sign? I long contemplated that. The focus I settled on was St. Joan of Arc. Technically, she was not a Christian martyr. She fell into the hands of an enemy power. Though a corrupt Bishop was used as the means to condemn her, she was condemned for having defeated England, not for her faith. She was often prophetic, but her prophecies were wrong almost as often as they were right. Oh, the ones that were right were so improbable it was comparable to choosing the exact right lottery numbers six out of ten tries – a margin of error anyone would gladly accept for such stakes. So what was it that revealed her sanctity?
I came up with an answer that struck me in considering the great prayer of Mary, the Magnificat (Luke 1:46-55). In most English-language Bibles, the first line is translated as, “My soul magnifies the Lord.” Think of that. At its most basic, every saint ultimately becomes a pure lens through which our vision of the Lord is magnified more clearly. The holier the saint, the more pure the magnification.
The French people were disheartened, dispirited, given over to despair as the 100-Years War appeared it would end in the extinction of the Nation of France. When Joan appeared, this dispirited rabble was infused with new heart, new hope, new resolve. Her soul magnified the Lord – and the people felt the effects of it. But there were others who felt it, too, the self-promoters, those whose field of vision never rose above their own temporal ambitions and covetousness. Some of those, even, were to be found in the French Court. They all hated Joan with an irrational fury, constantly trying to pull her down. There is nothing that so infuriates a fraud as to be confronted with the real thing. That is the heart, the visible evidence of sanctity. A saint’s soul magnifies the Lord, giving new heart to those who have lost heart, while infuriating those who are absorbed in themselves and their petty ambitions. The Lord speaks through His saints. His sheep recognize His voice in them and rejoice. But satan’s goats recognize His voice in them, too, and rage at them.
No one is closer to Our Lord than His Mother. She lived the sorrow of His passion with Him, at His feet – and a sword pierced her soul. (Luke 2:35). As Jesus was dying on the Cross, He committed His Mother to His beloved disciple, John – and committed John, the Church, to the care of His Mother. (John 19:26).
Throughout the ages, Mary has prayed unceasingly for her children, the Church – and all of her children have recourse to her. She busies herself constantly running out to greet people, encouraging them to come on in, come in to the warmth and safety of Her Holy Son. Most Protestants think the Rosary is a worshipful devotion to Mary. It is not; it is an extended contemplation of the Life of Christ alongside Mary, through her loving heart. A full Rosary goes through four sets of mysteries, each of which contemplates some aspect of the life of Our Lord.
As I studied the history of Christianity in depth I was surprised to learn that the line, “Holy Mary, Mother of God…” was not incorporated into the Hail Mary to underscore Mary’s motherhood. Rather, there was a great heresy raging that claimed that Jesus was just a man, a created being Who achieved divinity by His righteousness. Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ is True God and True Man. The Eternal, Uncreated Son chose to take on our humanity at a particular point in time, to suffer and die in that humanity, that all might be saved. People often note that Jesus is the Son of God. That is absolutely true, but because of our limitations, it sometimes blinds us to the fact that it is equally true that the Eternal Father is the Father of God. They are One. We also stumble because our experience tells us that the child proceeds from the parents. This is true except in the case of Christ, the one case in history in which the parents proceeded from the Son. The phrase, “Holy Mary, Mother of God…” was incorporated into the “Hail Mary” to underscore Christ’s divinity, not Mary’s motherhood.
Even knowing these things, and even having fallen in love with the Catholic Church, my old Evangelical Protestant training filled me with dread at the sound of the phrase, “Holy Mary, Mother of God…” in the “Hail Mary.” Intimations of blasphemy would fill my head and whiffs of brimstone fill my nostrils at it, choking it off in my throat, so I had decided that would not be a devotion I practiced. But at my reception into the Church, one of the gifts was a beautiful, elegant Rosary. I knew that a sense of dread was often God warning us away from something sinful. But I also knew it could be used by satan to keep us from something fruitful. So I added a new tool of discernment. I prayed, telling God that He knew I loved Him…that this Church had been such a wonderful and unexpected gift that I was going to pray this Rosary for three weeks – and depend on Him to show me whether it was proper or not. If it was not, I would quietly refrain from ever saying it again. Those next three weeks were an unprecedented period of extravagant and improbable graces and blessings. Ever since, like the beloved disciple, I have joyfully followed the Lord’s command to take His Mother into my heart as my mother.
And that is why I say, with profound gratitude and joy,
Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women,
And blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
And spread the effect of the grace of thy flame of love,
