Confusion and Deception Reign

As we know these are the two tools of the Devil.    I have been pondering for some time now a number of things in regard to the times we are living in.  One of them is in regard to the Second Coming of Christ and the Era of Peace.

Which is it?  You can’t have both happening at the same time.  I asked the Lord this question for some time now and I received my answer.  The Second Coming of Christ comes at the end – the End of the World.    The Era of Peace is the Seventh Day or Sabbath Rest.   I have been hearing and reading so much about both…..

So, which are we headed towards…..

The Lord will always warn us of things to come and of course He has been doing this through His prophets and through the Blessed Mother.    We know something is coming and we also know that God does not always speak to us clearly, but rather symbolically, much of the time.  We really have to discern who we can trust and believe.  Plus you know what-  I am truly so tired of hearing all of the dire words that cause so much fear.  I refuse to fall into fear.  I do not fear at all.  If I fear anything, it is that I fear I will not trust enough or do what I am supposed to do.   So that is my prayer.

I have two beliefs:

One, we are headed towards the New Era of Peace

Second, I don’t have a clue how things will unfold or what is going to happen-   I believe we all have a general knowledge and sense that things will not be good.  We are definitely going to be going through some tough times.  But, how bad we do not know.   We definitely cannot interpret God’s messages very well and if we take them literally we will surely be wrong.

I have come to the conclusion that I know nothing.  I do not know what and how and when things will take place.  The only thing I am quite certain about is what He has placed on my heart for quite some time now.  I need to prepare spiritually and physically for the days ahead.  More spiritually than physically too.  I am being led to can foods and have extra on hand for others who will not have anything.  I am being led to make sure I have a heat source and light source as well.

Spiritually, I am being led to be in the state of grace at all times.  Go to confession regularly and stay very very close to Christ.  He is going to be our strength in the times to come and will keep us safe from all deception swirling around us.

Apparently, we are in the period of great apostasy.  Yes, I can certainly see that.  Communism has  reappeared in the form of social justice.  Our morals have hit bottom and what God says is evil we say is good.  Our laws now are in defiance of God’s laws.

Revelations speaks about the Anti-Christ and False Prophet.  There will also be a falling away from the faith once again before the end of the World.    Some are calling these times the Minor tribulations while the ones coming before the end of the world will be the great tribulations.  So confusing!  You know what – It doesn’t matter.  It really does not mean anything so don’t worry about it.

So, I guess what I am supposed to tell you is this:

Don’t worry about all the details of what is going to happen, when, or how things will play out.  God wants us to be spiritually ready at all times.  We never know when our personal judgments will come.  We could die tonight, tomorrow, or next year or 100 years from now.  We just do not know.  Be prepared Spiritually, for He will come like a thief in the night.   Do not be stressed out about the chaos around the corner.  Rather, do what God wants you to do today.  Stay in today….not yesterday or tomorrow, because God isn’t there.  He is only here in Today.

If we can do this we will not be easy prey for the evil one.  Deception and confusion are commonplace right now and if we worry or become anxious about things, we will be led into a state of confusion or be easily deceived.

Do what you sense the Lord asking you to do.  Keep an open mind – be like a child and trust in God to lead you to where you  need to be and lead you to do what you need to do.  But, you must make the first step.  Do not think that God is going to do everything for you.  We need to make the effort FIRST.  When we do this, one step at a time, God will lead.   One step at a time….don’t go before God.  Follow Him.

I find it very interesting that He continually places the Time of Exodus on my heart.  I know I need to learn from them.  Those poor people had no clue what was in store for them and they had to literally trust God for EVERYTHING.  They didn’t even have time to prepare.   Their expectations fell short of what really took place.  They lost hope because of that.  This is a huge lesson for me.  Don’t have any expectations of what is to come and how it is to play out because then for sure you shall lose hope when it doesn’t pan out the way you think it should.

God is asking us to be Hopeful and to Trust in Him in all matters and to do whats right each moment that we have life within us.  Live today as though it is your last.

By the way, it doesn’t matter if this is the time of the Second Coming or the Era of Peace.  No need to argue about it or worry which is which.   In the end, whether we go into the Era of Peace or have our final judgement,  we shall be in a better place than we are now.  We will be purified and ready for either scenario.  So, be at Peace and just do God’s will to the very best of your ability.

May God Bless you with what your needs are this day.

The Spirit of Hypocrisy

“Say what you mean, and mean what you say” are words that are forever etched in my mind.  Years ago, I read these words and it really hit me.   Obviously for a reason…The Holy Spirit was “speaking” to me.    Since then,  these words come to mind when I am thinking about what I need to say and when I am trying to figure out how to say something that may be offensive to someone.

In todays Gospel reading,

27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like white washed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 So you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but within you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. 29 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous, 30 saying, `If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ 31 Thus you witness against yourselves, that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers.

There is a  Spirit of Hypocrisy that permeates our culture.  How often do we hear people speak to us using flattery to get us to do what they want or to perhaps get us to think of them as “being on our side”.  Politicians are famous for hypocrisy, but we, too, are often guilty of this sin.  We try to hide who we really are or what we really think.  How many of us are bold enough to always speak the truth to someone when we know we will be mocked or insulted for what we say?  Its tough, no doubt about it.  Who wants to be insulted or laughed at….not many of us.

A hypocrite is an actor or imposter who says one thing but does the opposite or who puts on an outward appearance of doing good while inwardly clinging to wrong attitudes, selfish desires and ambitions, or bad intentions. Many scribes and Pharisees had made it a regular practice to publicly put on a good show of outward zeal and piety with the intention of winning greater honors, privileges, and favors among the people. (rc.net)

Sin is ugly because it corrupts heart and mind
Jesus warns that what truly corrupts a person is not external ritual impurity but the impurity of wrong and sinful attitudes that come from within a person’s mind and heart – such as pride, greed, sloth, envy, hatred, gluttony, and lust – these are what produce sinful habits (vices) and ways of speaking, acting, judging, and treating others. That is why every good deed is beautiful in God’s sight and every wrong or sinful deed is ugly in his sight. The scribes and Pharisees were intensely religious in their outward observances, but their outward show didn’t match the inner reality of the state of their minds and hearts. They not only neglected the poor and the weak, but they were intolerant towards anyone who challenged their idea of religion. That is why so many of the prophets in past ages – who warned about tolerating evil desires and unjust behavior towards one’s neighbor – were persecuted and even killed by their own rulers and people.

****Notice the words “they were intolerant towards anyone who challenged their idea of religion”.  Can we not see this in our culture today.  We, as Christians, are being persecuted and told how “bad” we are if we do not accept the sinful behaviors that are now being pushed on us such as abortion, same sex marriage,  etc.  How about the ISIS group who believes we should be killed because our beliefs do not match up with theirs? Same today as in the time of Jesus.   They wanted to kill Jesus because of His teachings.

Jesus chastised the religious leaders for being double-minded and for demanding from others standards which they refused to satisfy. They professed admiration for the prophets who spoke God’s word by building tombs in their honor. But their outward show of respect did not match their inward refusal to heed the prophets’ warning to turn away from sinful attitudes and from neglecting to lead their people – through teaching and their own example – in God’s way of love and holiness of life. They shut themselves to heaven and they hindered others from growing in the knowledge of God’s truth and goodness. They rejected Jesus as their Messiah because their hearts were blinded and hardened to the voice of God.
The Holy Spirit renews the heart and mind
True beauty, goodness, and piety come from within – from a heart that is set on pleasing God and a mind that is set on hearing and obeying God’s word. Jesus came to set us free from slavery to sin and harmful habits and addictions that lead us into wrong and sinful ways of thinking, acting, and relating to others. Only the humble of heart can receive from God true wisdom and understanding, pardon and healing. The Holy Spirit is ever ready to renew our minds and hearts and to lead us in God’s way of love and holiness. Ask the Holy Spirit to purify your heart and mind and to fill you with the power of God’s love and goodness. (rc.net)

How to get rid of the Spirit of Hypocrisy within us:

I was listening to a Priest speak about hypocrisy and he used an acronym to explain it.  SRGET.

S stands for Sorrow–  Go to the Lord and tell Him you are sorry for being a hypocrite

R stands for Reparation–  Make reparation by perhaps praying the rosary for a week or longer every day

G stands for give – Give yourself to others.  Think of your neighbors needs and not your own.   Those who are selfish and who do not think of others are generally hypocrites.

E stands for experience – It is said that one needs to experience hypocrisy in order to notice it and change it within themselves

T stands for thanksgiving – Thank God for helping you and giving you the grace to come out from under this spirit.

We shall all be One!

Well this one has been on my heart for maybe two weeks now.   I continue to hear the words “Unity” and “we are all sisters and brothers”.image

Have you ever thought about that before?  God is our Father, the Blessed Mother is our Spiritual Mother, and we are their children.  All of us.  All races, nationalities, religions…all one family.

God the Father has a yearning in His heart to bring us all together once again.  One faith, one family.  We are divided mainly by politics and religion, and before Jesus left this earth He spoke to His father with these words:

John 17:21-23

21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.

Their Future Glory
22 The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; 23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.

I didn’t really know what this meant (that we may be one), until recently when the Lord was showing me that He wants all of us to be united as one family….no more divisions and holy wars because of religion.  There is one God and only one Faith.  He cannot be split into all of these different types of religions that claim different things.  Truth is truth and is never divided.   How can something be truth for one religion but heresy for another….doesn’t make sense does it.

What the Lord  has  also placed upon my heart to speak about is that we should be looking at each other and treating each other as sister and brother.  I am your sister, you are my brother and sister.  When I go to Mass, my thought is always “now that is my sister or brother and we will all be together one day, united in Christ.

While pondering this whole situation I am seeing that once we start going through the tough times, which are surely upon us, we will need to have enough love  in our hearts to help each other as though we are all sisters and brothers.    If your neighbor is your blood brother or sister, would you help him or her?  Of course you would.  You would want to do whatever you could to help them.  Well, that neighbor, whether you like them or not, is your brother or sister.  God sees us as ONE family.  God sees them as our siblings…. and He expects us to treat each other with kindness and love.

When we reach the end of this time period and enter into the “Era of Peace”, we shall all be one faith.  The Muslims will have converted and the Jews will have converted, and all Christians will have converted and become one.  We will live in harmony for the most part because we will have seen the consequences of our past actions.  We will all know God and what we need to do.  We will have lived through the most evil of times and the most difficult of times.

God is going to give us a chance to do things “right” this time.  Have you ever said to yourself, “I sure wish I could do that over again”.  Well, this is our chance.  How blessed are we to be living in these times where we actually get a second chance to do things right.  No other generation has had that opportunity.  Never, ever, ever.

So, if you want to make it to the New Era of Peace, this is what we need to do starting right now.  Looking at each other as brother and sister and begin changing our hearts towards others.  No more biases, no more hate, no more thinking we are better than them, etc.  We are equal in God’s eyes.   I am not better than you and you are not better than me.  He loves us all the same.  We are Family….that simple.

The other day I was reading another blog and he spoke about unity as well.  His writings are very beautiful and he does so in a very gentle and loving way.

THERE are many sincere and genuine “prophets” in the Protestant churches today. But not surprisingly, there are holes and gaps in some of their “prophetic words” at this hour, precisely because there are holes and gaps in their theological premises. Such a statement is not intended to be inflammatory or triumphalistic, as though “we Catholics” have the corner on God, so to speak. No, the fact is, many Protestant (Evangelical) Christians today have a greater love and devotion to God’s Word than many Catholics, and have cultivated a great zeal, prayer life, faith, and openness to the spontaneity of the Holy Spirit. And thus, Cardinal Ratzinger makes an important qualification of contemporary Protestantism:  More here.

This is from Charlie Johnstons Blog below:

As you know, I have said I was told that all faithful Christians and Jews are to be treated as full and equal partners in the work before us and that God, Himself, will draw unity as a fruit of the Storm. I am troubled, though, that much modern Protestant prophecy focuses on judgment without rescue. I think Mark is right that it is because many have abandoned Our Lady. I don’t know how this came about. Martin Luther had a healthy veneration for Our Lady – as did even John Calvin.

When I made my presentation at the Cathedral of the Assumption in San Francisco on the Feast Day of the Assumption of Mary, I prayed that I might be inspired to effectively bring Protestants back to the love and tenderness of Our Mother. They don’t have to be Catholic to love Holy Mary – just ask Martin Luther or John Calvin. But any who reject Mary dogmatically make themselves spiritual orphans, I think.

I ask my Protestant friends who do not honor Mary and are willing, to undertake a private discernment. Tell the Lord you only want to do what pleases Him, that you are quietly going to say a Rosary for a few weeks – a set time. Ask Him to show you whether veneration of His Holy Mother pleases Him or not. Then go where He leads you after you are done. It is important to do it for a set time, so as not to be pushed away by either old enmity or the dark one. More here

Both of these bloggers (Mark and Charlie) are correct when they say that many evangelicals have a greater love and knowledge of God’s Word than us Catholics.  Charlie is right on when he suggests that Protestants need to go to the Lord and ask HIM what He thinks about how they should treat and accept His Mother by discerning privately through praying of the rosary.    We all need a Mother, God’s Mother.  I don’t blame the Protestants of today at all, because they were being taught from day one that Mary is Not our Mother and that Catholics worship Mary.   Where this came from I have no idea whatsoever.  It was started sometime after Luther because he did love Mary and knew that she was our spiritual Mother.

Unity wil come about when all will accept Mary as their Mother.   She is the one who is going to be bringing us through these times and defeating satan, because that is her role and her job given to her by her Father – God.  We have all been given a role to play here….That is her role.  WE do not worship Mary....WE honor her as God’s Mother and we love her like a mother.    So go to your Mother and ask her to be your mother.  God loves her and created her to be the Mother of His Son…..and all of us.  Does not Luke  1:46-55) say:  “All generations shall call me blessed”

My soul magnifies the Lord
And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior;
Because He has regarded the lowliness of His handmaid;
For behold, henceforth all generations shall call me blessed;
Because He who is mighty has done great things for me,
and holy is His name;
And His mercy is from generation to generation
on those who fear Him.
He has shown might with His arm,
He has scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart.
He has put down the mighty from their thrones,
and has exalted the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich He has sent away empty.
He has given help to Israel, his servant, mindful of His mercy
Even as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his posterity forever.

Blessings to all of you.

12 Natural Antibiotics

I received this information today and passing it on to you.  This could be very helpful to have these items on hand, or at least some of them, in the days to come.  (reblogged from refreshingnews99.blogspot.in)

12 Natural Antibiotics That Our Ancestors Used Instead of Pills
Over the last several decades, over-use of antibiotics has reached an all-time high. The result has been drug-resistant bacteria and “superbugs” that evolve faster than scientists can figure out how to fight them. A future where bacteria are at the top of the food chain is not unheard of.
Long before there were pharmaceutical antibiotics – developed in the 1940s, there were foods and herbs that helped guard against infection and disease on a daily basis. Many of these natural defenders are still in use today with holistic healers around the globe.
Our ancestors also had a solution for healing, using antibiotics from nature and it would be good to remind ourselves who these antibiotics are and possibly think about using them in case of an illness.
Natural Antibiotics That Our Ancestors Used Instead of Pills

Oregano and the oil of oregano
You’ve probably used oregano as a flavoring in your favorite Italian dishes without even realizing the health benefits that it contains. Beyond its antibacterial properties, oregano can help with digestion and aid in weight loss. An oil that is found in oregano, Carvacrol, has been found to fight the bacteria that can lead to infections. The oil of oregano has been found to treat digestive infections, and even one particular yeast infection. It is more than just a food flavoring.

Raw Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)
The far-reaching benefits of daily doses of apple cider vinegar (ACV) include antibiotic and antiseptic properties, naturally alkalizing your system, and can aid you in everything from managing your weight to lowering cholesterol and your risk of cancer.
A chemical-free astringent, ACV can be used topically to disinfect and sterilize.

Honey
Ancient Romans used honey on the battlefield to treat wounds and prevent infection.
Civilizations all over the world continue to consider honey one of the best natural antibiotics, antimicrobials, anti-inflammatories, and antiseptics known to man after thousands of years.
New Zealand’s Manuka honey has been proven to have the highest levels of antioxidants and curative powers.
An enzyme found in honey releases hydrogen peroxide. This process helps your body fight infection and prevents the growth of bacteria. Soothing to the digestive system, honey removes toxins from the blood and helps your liver operate more efficiently.
A great boost to the immune system, consider combining honey with cinnamon to strengthen your white blood cells! Raw, organic honey is the best option since most pasteurization methods kills the antioxidant effects.

Turmeric
This spice isn’t just rich in color and flavor, but it also products your body against harm. Turmeric and be both consumed and applied externally, making it a great choice for fighting against bacteria. For extra benefit, from combining two bacteria fighting substances, you can mix turmeric with honey and create a paste to apply to infected areas on your skin.
You can protect your body against infections and bacteria based sicknesses by taking advantage of these safe and natural remedies that are available in the average kitchen. Protect your body without the use of prescription drugs by using honey, oregano, garlic, echinacea, and turmeric.

Garlic
Flavorful and wonderful on a piece of butter toast, this plant also has very powerful qualities to it. Garlic can fight such simple infections as the common cold, pushing the germs away before they have a change to disrupt your life. Using the allicin that it contains, garlic protects against yeast, parasites, bacteria, and more. If you are looking for a simple way to live healthier, add more garlic to your diet.

Grapefruit Seed Extract
The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine published a study that found grapefruit seed extract (GSE) effective against more than 800 forms of viruses and bacteria, more than a hundred strains of fungus, and many parasites.
High in many antioxidants, GSE boosts immunity, alkalizes the body naturally, and aids in digestion by improving your beneficial gut flora.

Echinacea
So, you might not have as much experience with this product, but it is a safe herb that is found in many kitchens. The consumption of this herb has been proven to reduce the amount of colds that a person deals with in their life, and shorten the colds that the person does have to face. This herb is a great choice when taken as a preventative measure.

Cabbage
There are sulfur compounds found in cabbage – a member of the cruciferous family that includes broccoli and kale – that have been shown effective as cancer fighters.
What many people don’t realize is how much vitamin C is found in cabbage. One cup provides 75% of what you need every day.
Naturally antibacterial, eating shredded raw cabbage in your salad, as a side dish in the form of slaw, or drinking fresh cabbage juice (with honey added to sweeten) is an excellent way to improve digestion, prevent disease, and even manage your weight!

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
There is not enough that can be said for the benefits of coconut oil. It has naturally occurring anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties and is packed with antioxidants you can’t find anywhere else in nature.
Use it to boost your immune system, balance thyroid, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels, and even improve brain function. Safe to use internally and externally, coconut oil is one of the most versatile and unique gifts from Mother Nature.
Stir a spoonful into your morning coffee for added energy and a clearer head all day.

Fermented food
Unpasteurized cabbage, homemade pickles, kefir and probiotic yogurts, all of these renew our intestinal flora, protects us from cancer and keeps our body fit to fight off infections.

Colloidal Silver
A natural antibiotic, colloidal silver is a mixture of silver particles suspended in fluid that have been used for centuries.
This treatment is temporary since too much silver – a heavy metal – can be toxic. However, it disables the enzyme that single-cell bacteria require to multiply. Deprived of their oxygen supply, the bacteria and viruses are destroyed without damage to you.

Come to ME, all you who are burdened!!

A Word from the Lord:

Come to Me, my little ones, all of you who are burdened with the pressures of the world.  I will give you My Peace to sustain you.  You cannot find true Peace without Me, your Jesus, who is waiting with open arms to hold you, comfort you, and love you!image

I am here waiting for you just as a parent waits breathlessly to see their newborn child enter into the world.  They wait with so much love in their heart, a love that binds them together from the first moment they lay eyes upon their newborn infant.    That is how I am- I wait breathlessly for each one of you to glance at Me, to say a word of love to Me, to turn to Me, to ask Me for help.

I AM Here!  Call on Me today, this very moment if you have not thought about me or think of Me in this manner.  My love is so infinite it cannot be fathomed.

Come out of the world and enter into My World – a world that is filled with love, joy, and hope.    When you enter into My heart, I feed you with the bread of love.  I nurture you as a parent nurtures a child.  I care for you, for you are Mine.  I continually watch over you and your progress.  You will fall many times, just as a child, learning to walk, will fall many times.  But I allow this so that you can grow and persevere.  Even though I have taken My hand from yours, I AM at your side, ready to grab you if you are in danger.

Remember, Peter who walked on water?  I told him to come out.  As long as his eyes were focused on ME, he did not sink.  The moment fear entered into him and he took his gaze off of me, he began to sink.  That is how it is for all of you, my dear children.  You must stay focused on Me and Me alone.

The evil one is roaming around waiting to harass and torment each one of you.  Especially those who are close to My heart.  For those of you who do not know Me, satan will not bother with you because he has no fear of you going to heaven.  he thinks you are his and will one day be with him in the everlasting pit of hell.  So, my dearest children, if you are lukewarm in your love for me, do not pray and rarely think of Me…you will not feel the burden of torments afflict you.  This should be a warning sign for you.  All those who are mine, who know my voice and I know them, will always be afflicted in some manner.  Why is this:  One of the reasons is because the evil one, satan, will never give up tormenting you in some manner so as to stop your progression in the spiritual life.  his goal is to bring you down into the pit with him for all eternity.  he absolutely hates those who are close to Me.  he will stop at nothing to get you to give up and take the easy road that will lead to hell.    Those who continue the good fight and persevere will literally be walking in My bloody footsteps and will merit the Kingdom of God.  These souls are walking down the straight and narrow path, which leads to Heaven for all eternity.   I give the grace to continue in your struggles so please do not give up.  I will always be there.  My grace is sufficient for whatever ails you.

Many of My children have a great fear to let go and let Me guide and direct their lives.  They do not Trust in My words of Love.  Why is this:  Deception of the evil one, My dearest children.  Yes, the evil one instills prideful thoughts into your minds.  That you know what is best for you and that you can do all things yourself, when in fact, this is a great lie.  You cannot do anything of yourselves.  I provide the grace and the tools for you to do even the smallest task.  If I should let you go, you would fall immediately.

So even though many of My children do not think about Me, speak to Me, or Love Me, I always think of You!!  I always Love YOU!!  My love is unconditional.  It does not depend on whether or not you Love Me.  But, I want you with Me forever.  You are My family.

Be humble of heart, take My hand and I will help you with the burdens of this life. (Your Jesus)

Heed my Words in Scripture, for all will take place:

“For behold, the day comes, burning like an oven,  when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble; the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of Hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.  But for you who fear my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings.  You shall go forth leaping like calves from the stall.  And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the Lord of hosts (Malachi 4:1-4)

Practice Generosity

Readings today speak about how God loves a cheerful giver.  Pondering how this speaks to us today, I realized how super important it is to start practicing generosity NOW.  This is one of those lessons the Lord is teaching each one of us.

These are definitely the times in which we need to begin thinking of others needs and sharing what we have.  I think that each one of us, for the most part, have something extra that we can give to others….no matter how little we ourselves have.   If you really think about it, how many of us have a closet full of clothes, extra furniture, perhaps even a bountiful harvest of garden produce, extra money tucked away or even some extra time to share with those who are lonely or sick.  Not only that but each one of us has a set of skills and talents that we can share with others….for FREE!!!

So no matter how financially poor someone may be, they still have talents and skills to share with those who need help.

For me the Lord has asked me many times to give  things away – and not sell the items –  such as furniture, clothing, plants, religious articles, money, my time……Sometimes it may be something I hold dear and I  have a tough time letting it go….but, I know that the Lord is helping me detach myself from all material things and so I do as I am inspired to do.  It makes me feel better afterwards and I don’t miss it at all.  Well, almost all the time anyway. There have been a few things I wished I hadn’t given away and then I know I am too attached to the item and it is better that I did give it away.

Here’s what the Lord has to say about this:image

Brothers and sisters:
Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly,
and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion,
for God loves a cheerful giver.
Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you,
so that in all things, always having all you need,
you may have an abundance for every good work.
As it is written:

He scatters abroad, he gives to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.

The one who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food
will supply and multiply your seed
and increase the harvest of your righteousness. (2 Corin. 9:6-10)

When we can help others through giving of our time and material things we will also be helped in our time of need…..and believe me, we will all come to a point in our lives where we will need the help of others.  God’s primary goal is to get us to heaven, and while we are on our earthly journey, He will always work it out so that we learn these lessons before we die.  You don’t want to die empty-handed.  What I mean by that is if we spent our lives for ourselves and not others, we are in trouble.  So it is a blessing when we can let go and help others.

When food shortages arrive, and we have stored up food for ourselves and do not share with others, our supply will rot and we will end up with nothing.  Many people will lose their homes through various means…..they will need help.    If we are one of those people who should lose our home, and we have helped others throughout our lives, God will make sure we get the help we need and it will turn into a blessing rather than a curse.

Luke 6:38 says :  Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

In the Book of Malachi I found this scripture very interesting:  The Lord is speaking about Tithing.

You are under a curse–your whole nation–because you are robbing me. (Malachi 3:9)

10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty. (Malachi 3:10-12

So trust God that He will always take care of your needs….as long as you also take care of the needs of those whom He puts in your path each day.  Now I know there are those who seem to be “takers”, rather than givers and they can be downright annoying.   But, give for a time to that person, then give elsewhere.

It may also be that there is a certain area where you have trouble giving…for example monetarily.  If this is true, this would be an area that the Lord may be asking you to give more…especially if you have the means to do so.

Do what you can and God will do the rest.

Blessings on your day.

The Lord is always with us….then and now

God in the pillar of cloud
God in the pillar of cloud

While reflecting on the following scripture verses below, I was being shown the connection between the Old Testament times when God was truly present with the Israelites in the pillar of cloud and now when He is truly present with us in the Eucharist.   The dwelling place of God in the desert was the precursor for the Taberacle today.

If you read this scripture below, you will notice how God’s presence was in a special dwelling which Moses built, according to the commands of God.  The Lord’s presence was recognized by a cloud covering the dwelling by day, and at night fire was seen in the cloud.

Jesus said He would always be with us, He would never leave us orphans.  And that is true.  He found a way to be available night and day.  The way He is always present to us  is in His special dwelling place in Catholic Churches under the species of a host, in the tabernacle of each Church.  To the side of each tabernacle is a burning candle which signifies that the Lord is inside the tabernacle.

Tabernacle with light signifying Jesus is truly present.
Tabernacle with light signifying Jesus is truly present.

God gave the Israelites a sign that He was truly with them and guiding them throughout their journey by means of a cloud and fire.  If he was there just in spirit to each one, He would not have had to have Moses build this special dwelling place, which was Sacred and Holy.  He was there personally.

Today, He is with us in Spirit, but He is also with us body, blood, soul and divinity  whom we can speak to face to face.  We cannot see His face, but neither could the Israelites see God’s face in the cloud.  But just because you can’t see His face does not mean He is not there.  He is there today for all of us just as He was with His people in the desert.

Jesus wants you to know that should you come to meet him in His dwelling place, in the tabernacle, and you want to speak with Him, you shall surely feel His divine presence.  The power of the Holy Spirit shall fill you with His love and joy.

You may even come away with a radiant face, just as Moses did after He spoke with the Lord, face to face.

Be not afraid my little ones.  It is true, I shall always be with you.  Call on me and I shall be at your side, in spirit, but come before My True Presence in the Eucharist, and you shall be speaking to your Jesus face to face.  I will give you counsel and soothe your minds and hearts.  You shall walk away with a peace that only I can give.    Come to My Merciful Heart while there is still time, speak to Me, tell Me about all of your concerns and I will give you light.   The enemy, the devil, is prowling around with such vengeance that you need ME to survive.  Come, I await your presence before Me.  I will be with you to the end of this age.”  (Your Jesus)

Ex 40:16-21, 34-38

Moses did exactly as the LORD had commanded him.image On the first day of the first month of the second year
the Dwelling was erected.
It was Moses who erected the Dwelling.
He placed its pedestals, set up its boards, put in its bars,
and set up its columns.
He spread the tent over the Dwelling
and put the covering on top of the tent,
as the LORD had commanded him.
He took the commandments and put them in the ark;
he placed poles alongside the ark and set the propitiatory upon it.
He brought the ark into the Dwelling and hung the curtain veil,
thus screening off the ark of the commandments,
as the LORD had commanded him.

Then the cloud covered the meeting tent,
and the glory of the LORD filled the Dwelling.
Moses could not enter the meeting tent,
because the cloud settled down upon it
and the glory of the LORD filled the Dwelling.
Whenever the cloud rose from the Dwelling,
the children of Israel would set out on their journey.
But if the cloud did not lift, they would not go forward;
only when it lifted did they go forward.
In the daytime the cloud of the LORD was seen over the Dwelling;
whereas at night, fire was seen in the cloud
by the whole house of Israel
in all the stages of their journey.

Jesus said to the disciples:
“The Kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea,
which collects fish of every kind.
When it is full they haul it ashore
and sit down to put what is good into buckets.
What is bad they throw away.
Thus it will be at the end of the age.
The angels will go out and separate the wicked from the righteous
and throw them into the fiery furnace,
where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.”

“Do you understand all these things?”
They answered, “Yes.”
And he replied,
“Then every scribe who has been instructed in the Kingdom of heaven
is like the head of a household who brings from his storeroom
both the new and the old.”
When Jesus finished these parables, he went away from there.
