Many are called, but few are chosen…

Many are called, but few are chosen are words that I am hearing and when I asked the Lord about these words….what does He mean….. what am I supposed to do with this verse from Matthew 22:14.  I was given to understand the following:

  1.  I am being told that the Lord is going to give us what He calls,  Divine Lessons.
  2. These Lessons will impart the knowledge we will need to help us through the time of the “warning” and beyond.
  3. Our Hearts must be made ready so as to help those around us who will still be in darkness.  We must know God ourselves if we are to help anyone else.
  4. The verse, many are called, but few are chosen, means that He is calling you, the reader, to learn from HIM so that you are ready once the chaos begins.  He wants all of us to be spiritually, physically, and mentally ready to take charge of the situation at hand and help those who will be in total darkness.  There will be much fear and chaos.    He is calling you! You have the choice to decide if you wish to be one of those who will be chosen for this work.
  5. This blog was not my idea.  It was inspired by the Holy Spirit.  My initial understanding was that the Lord wanted to heal His people; physically, mentally, and spiritually by divulging his wisdom and instructions on how to receive His healings.  I did not know at the time, that it would also mean that His plan was to then call each of you, whom He is inspiring to read the blog, to action when the time comes.  This is news to me.
  6. This revelation, once again, came during the time of my fasting yesterday.  I think I can say fasting has been very powerful for me in the sense that I am hearing Him a lot clearer when I fast.
  7. So, essentially, do you have a desire to Know God, Love God, and Serve God.  If you do, then all you need to do is tell the Lord that you are willing to be used in anyway He sees fit.  Then you must do what is necessary to get in the grace of God through repenting and then confessing those sins.  This makes your heart clean so you can hear what the Lord is saying to you.  This also puts you back into Gods Territory and takes you out of satans territory.
  8. God has the power to open doors and close doors.  His spirit moves where it wills and He is bringing this blog to those whom He desires….I have no power over this whatsoever.  He is in charge and I let Him be in charge.  that is not my job.  My job is to be His typist basically. Hopefully I hear what He is telling me and do what I am supposed to do.  If I err, he will make up for it.  I am only human and will err, that is a given.

Today,  I received an email from an old friend of mine (nearly 40 years);  which I believe was inspired by the Holy Spirit.  The email outlines three areas which he questions and which I was going to write on…well, two of the questions anyway.   I am sure, there are many reading this blog who feel the same way he does.  Therefore, it is something that I believe the Lord wants me to address.  He wrote the following:

For quite awhile I have questioned some of the Catholic doctrine and teachings.
The “Hail Mary” is one example and The Church is certainly teaching us to pray to Mary.
I may as well pray to this wooden chair for all the good it will do, Only God can hear our prayers
and only God can answer our prayers.

Another area I question is this whole venial sin as opposed to mortal sin! What??? Sin is sin.
We all sin and fall short of the grace of God. I am not a biblical expert but I have read the Bible many times
and I do not recall Paul in any of his letters or of Jesus talking about some sins not being as bad as other sins.

Same with whole Purgatory deal. What???? You die but you don’t go to hell, but you are not allowed into Heaven
either, so you go to Purgatory to work off your sins, kind of like a work camp! Where is this ever mentioned in any
of the teachings of Jesus or of the Apostles?

So before we get into the “Divine Lessons” I spoke of at the beginning of this post, I will be addressing those three areas of our faith.

God Bless!!

The Scourging

Scourging of Jesus
Scourging of Jesus

As a Note – last night when I posted my article on the End Times, the post went out but only with the picture.  The text was deleted.  I do not know how this happened.  I do know that the evil one plays a lot of games with us when we are doing something he hates.  Therefore, should weard things continue to happen like that, just chalk it up to satan playing his games.

During the fridays of Lent, the Lord would like me to reveal some of His Passion.  So, today, I will speak about the Scourging through the visions given to Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich.

There were six executions in number.  Dark, swarthy men who were somewhat shorter than Jesus.  These six men were being held for crimes they had committed.  They were condemned to hard labor and to act as executioners in the Praetorium.

They resembled wild beasts or demons and appeared to be half-drunk.  First, they struck Jesus with their fists and knocked him down and then dragged him by the cords.   While He was being abused, Jesus prayed for them.  He looked at His mother who was standing nearby and she fainted and would have fallen had the holy women, who were there,  not supported her.

Jesus put his arms around the pillar and his hands were fastened to the iron rings at the top of the pillar.   They then raised his arms to such a height that his whole body was stretched out, without any clothing on.

They then began to scourge his body from head to foot with what appeared to be flexible white wood or sinews of the ox or strips of leather.  Jesus began to groan under the blows, but the deafening cries of the Pharisees and the people stifled these cries of Jesus, with the words “Put him to death! “Crucify Him”.

She saw groups of young men preparing fresh scourges while others went to seek branches of thorns.  The six men were given a red liquid which inebriated them and they in turn increased their cruelty tenfold towards Jesus.  His body was completely covered in black, blue and red marks; his blood was trickling down on the ground.  The crowd still was not satiated and wanted more scourging.  Two men at a time were scourging Jesus.  When a pair of fresh scourgers took over they made use of a different kind of a rod – “a species of thorny stick covered with knots and splinters”.  These sticks tore his flesh, his blood spouted out so as to stain their arms and he groaned, prayed and shuddered.

Two fresh scourgers now took the place of the last two men.  “Their scourges were composed of small chains or straps covered with iron hook, which penetrated to the bone and tore off large pieces of flesh at every blow”.

After this, they then turned Jesus around so his back was against the pillar.  They raised his arms up once again into the iron rings and tied him around his waist, under his arms and his legs, since Jesus was unable to stand up on his own.  They began scourging him even greater than was already done.  One of the scourgers continued to strike the face of Jesus with a rod.  His body was torn to shreds.

The scourging took 3/4 of an hour, without intermission when a stranger suddenly ran forward with a knife and commanded them to stop.  The guards were taken by surprise, severed the cords and went away to the guardhouse to join their companions who were drinking and plaiting the crown of thorns.  The man who rushed in to save Jesus was the blind man who had been cured by Jesus.  Jesus remained on the ground for a short time, bathed in his own blood.

During the time of the scourging she saw weeping angels approach him many times;  and she said “I likewise heard the prayers he constantly addressed to His Father for the pardon of our sins – prayers which never ceased during the whole time of the infliction of this cruel punishment”.

“I saw the Blessed Virgin in a continual ecstasy during the time of the scourging of her Divine Son; she saw and suffered inexpressible love and grief all the torments he was enduring.  She groaned feebly, and her eyes were red with weeping.  A large veil covered her person, and she leant upon Mary of Heli, her eldest sister, who was old and extremely like their mother, Anne.

“When Jesus fell I saw Claudia Procles, the wife of Pilate, send some large pieces of linen to the Mother of God… the termination of the scourging, Mary came to herself for a time, and saw her Divine Son all torn and mangled, being led away by the archers after the scourging:  He wiped his eyes, which were filled with blood, that he might look at His Mother, and she stretched out her hands towards him….Soon thereafter, I saw Mary and Magdalen approach the pillar where Jesus had been scourged;  they knelt down on the ground near the pillar, and wiped up the sacred blood with the linen cloths.  It was not more than 9 am when the scourging terminated”.

“Although Mary’s heart was prey to the most bitter grief, her countenance was calm and resigned. Her beauty was great, but indescribable, for it was superhuman – a mixture of majesty, sanctity, simplicity, and purity”

Sign of the Times – Second Coming

In the last post, God, the Father spoke to us about what is imminent. He has given us to know that time is short and that what awaits us is going to be very difficult. It feels so surreal.

That post was my cue that I need to get a little more specific and direct. My mission here is to try to prepare your souls by giving you the information you will need to make the jump from where you are to where you will need to be to withstand and endure the End Times, and come out of it triumphant.

If you recall, St. Pope John Paul II continually spoke about the “New Springtime”. That is the Era of Peace which God spoke about in the post.

However, before the Era Of Peace, we must and will go through the tribulation period. We are all living in the times of Revelations. So, if you were to read the Book of Revelations, and put yourself in that time frame, it can feel a bit overwhelming and fearful. But, that is why the Lord is asking me to prepare peoples hearts beforehand, via the blog, so that it is not a total surprise. We all need to prepare ourselves spiritually, physically, and mentally. I believe the Lord has people all over the world that He is using to prepare the hearts of His children.

It is not going to be easy. We are very “soft”….we have had luxury and convenience for most of our lives….that will all change. By making sacrifices now, during lent, we will not only merit much grace, mitigate the sufferings to come, but also prepare our own souls and receive many graces to strengthen us and give us the courage and perseverance we will need.

On January 12, 1919, the great mystic and victim soul, Luisa Piccaretta wrote:

“Every two thousand years there has been a great renewal. Two thousand years after creation there was the deluge of water. Two thousand years after the deluge of water, there was the deluge of blood: the redemption. After two thousand years there will be the deluge of fire – a spiritual fire, I think – and finally, the Kingdom of the Divine Will will come upon earth, because every creature will fulfill the Divine Will in a perfect way.”

Our Lady reportedly stated through Fr. Gobbi:

I will bring you to the full understanding of Sacred Scripture. Above all, I will read to you the pages of its last book, which you are living. . . I am opening for you the sealed book, that the secrets contained in it may be revealed…

There comes out of the earth, by way of aid to the black beast which arises out of the sea, a beast which has two horns like those of a lamb… intimately connected to that of the priesthood… The beast with the two horns like a lamb indicates Freemasonry infiltrated into the interior of the Church, that is to say, ecclesiastical Masonry, which has spread especially among the members of the hierarchy. This Masonic infiltration, in the interior of the Church, was already foretold to you by me at Fatima, when I announced to you that Satan would enter in even to the summit of the Church. The task of ecclesiastical Masonry is that of destroying Christ and His Church, building a new idol, namely a false christ and a false church.

The Church will know the hour of its great apostasy. The man of iniquity will penetrate into its interior and will sit in the very Temple of God, while the remnant which will remain faithful will be subjected to the greatest trials and persecutions.

The apostasy will be, as of then, generalized because almost all will follow the false christ and the false church. Then the door will be open for the appearance of the man or of the very person of the Antichrist!

Prophecy by St. Francis:

At the time of this tribulation a man, not (authentically) canonically elected, will be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavor to draw many into error… There will be such diversity of opinions and schisms among the people… for in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor, but a destroyer.

Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich

In those days, Faith will fall very low, and it will be preserved in some places only, in a few cottages and in a few families which God has protected from disasters and wars.”

August 10, 1820: “I see the Holy Father in great anguish. He lives in a palace other than before and he admits only a limited number of friends near him. I fear that the Holy Father will suffer many more trials before he dies. I see that the false Church of Darkness is making progress, and I see the dreadful influence that it has on people. The Holy Father and the Church are verily in so great a distress that one must implore God day and night.”

“Last night I was taken to Rome where the Holy Father, immersed in his sorrows, is still hiding to elude dangerous demands (made upon him). He is very weak, and exhausted by sorrows, cares, and prayers. He can now trust but few people. This is mainly why he is hiding. But he still has with him an aged priest who has much simplicity and godliness. He is his friend, and because of his simplicity they did not think it would be worth removing him. But this man receives many graces from God. He sees and notices a great many things which he faithfully reports to the Holy Father. It was required of me to inform him, while he was praying, of the traitors, and evil-doers who were to be found among the high-ranking servants living close to him, so that he might be made aware of it.”

April 12, 1820: “I had another vision of the great tribulation. It seems to me that a concession was demanded from the clergy which could not be granted. I saw many older priests, especially one, who wept bitterly. A few younger ones were also weeping. But others, and the lukewarm among them, readily did what was demanded. It was as if people were splitting into two camps.”

I saw also the relationship between THE TWO POPES… I saw how baleful (harmful) would be the consequences of this false church… I saw that the Church of Peter was undermined by a plan evolved by the secret sect… They built a large, singular, extravagant church which was to embrace all creeds with equal rights: Evangelicals, Catholics, and all denominations, a true communion of the unholy with one shepherd and one flock… I saw the fatal consequences of this counterfeit church: I saw it increase; I saw heretics of all kinds… More here.

In the book, “The Decline and Fall of the Athenian Empire“. Alexander Fraser Tyler, a historian in Europe, discovered a pattern in the rise and fall of empires and nations. The pattern he outlined is as follows:

From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from great courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependence; and from dependence back again to bondage”.

He discovered that the average time for this cycle to unfold is approximately 200 years. America, we are nearing the very end of this cycle.

All 243 of our Founding Fathers were deeply religious and our country was founded on biblical principles. George Washington stated that the Bible and the Ten Commandments were the foundation of our country and John Adams, our second President said this:

“We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other” (Chuck Norris, Black Belt Patriotism, pp.103)

Matthew 24:6-8

Signs of Jesus’ Coming and of the close of the Age: (New Edition, Ignatious Bible)

“Take heed that no one leads you astray, for many will come in my name, saying “I am the Christ”, and they will lead many astray; and you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All this is but the beginning of the sufferings”

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken, then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in Heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory, and he will send out the angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other”

The Lord does not want anyone to be fearful. That is why the Blessed Mother said that we must fast. If we fast we are not afraid of the future. satan cannot harm us if we fast and we are protected. We must pray for peace and calm. If we are calm we will hear the Lord speak within our hearts. If we are anxious, we won’t hear a thing, or if we do hear something, it may be the evil one disguising himself as the Holy Spirit.

I will be praying and fasting throughout lent and ask the Lord what He wants me to write…He knows what each of us needs to be prepared.

Your Heavenly Father Knows What You Need!

Your heavenly Father knows what you need
Gospel Reading: Matthew 6:7-15

7 “And in praying do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9 Pray then like this: Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread; 12 And forgive us our debts, As we also have forgiven our debtors; 13 And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. 14 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you; 15 but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Isaiah 55:10-11

10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and return not thither but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,11 so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Do you believe that God’s word has power to change and transform your life today? Isaiah says that God’s word is like the rain and melting snow which makes the barren ground spring to life and become abundantly fertile (Isaiah 55:10-11). God’s word has power to penetrate our dry barren hearts and make them springs of new life. If we let God’s word take root in our heart it will transform us into the likeness of God himself and empower us to walk in his way of love and holiness. God wants his word to guide and shape the way we think, act, and pray. Ambrose (339-397 AD), an early church father and bishop of Milan, wrote that the reason we should devote time for reading Scripture is to hear Christ speak to us. “Are you not occupied with Christ? Why do you not talk with him? By reading the Scriptures, we listen to Christ.”

We can approach God confidently because he is waiting with arms wide open to receive his prodigal sons and daughters. That is why Jesus gave his disciples the perfect prayer that dares to call God, Our Father. This prayer teaches us how to ask God for the things we really need, the things that matter not only for the present but for eternity as well. We can approach God our Father with confidence and boldness because the Lord Jesus has opened the way to heaven for us through his death and resurrection. When we ask God for help, he fortunately does not give us what we deserve. Instead, God responds with grace, mercy, and loving-kindness. He is good and forgiving towards us, and he expects us to treat our neighbor the same. God has poured his love into our hearts through the gift of the Holy Spirit who has been given to us (Romans 5:5). And that love is like a refining fire – it purifies and burns away all prejudice, hatred, resentment, vengeance, and bitterness until there is nothing left but goodness and forgiveness towards those who cause us grief or harm.

Consider what John Cassian (360-435 AD), an early church father who lived for several years with the monks in Bethlehem and Egypt before founding a monastery in southern Gaul, wrote about the Lord’s Prayer and the necessity of forgiving one another from the heart:

“The mercy of God is beyond description. While he is offering us a model prayer he is teaching us a way of life whereby we can be pleasing in his sight. But that is not all. In this same prayer he gives us an easy method for attracting an indulgent and merciful judgment on our lives. He gives us the possibility of ourselves mitigating the sentence hanging over us and of compelling him to pardon us. What else could he do in the face of our generosity when we ask him to forgive us as we have forgiven our neighbor? If we are faithful in this prayer, each of us will ask forgiveness for our own failings after we have forgiven the sins of those who have sinned against us, not only those who have sinned against our Master. There is, in fact, in some of us a very bad habit. We treat our sins against God, however appalling, with gentle indulgence – but when by contrast it is a matter of sins against us ourselves, albeit very tiny ones, we exact reparation with ruthless severity. Anyone who has not forgiven from the bottom of the heart the brother or sister who has done him wrong will only obtain from this prayer his own condemnation, rather than any mercy.”
Do you treat others as you think they deserve to be treated, or do you treat them as the Lord has treated you – with mercy, steadfast love, and kindness?
“Father in heaven, you have given me a mind to know you, a will to serve you, and a heart to love you. Give me today the grace and strength to embrace your holy will and fill my heart and mind with your truth and love that all my intentions and actions may be pleasing to you. Help me to be kind and forgiving towards my neighbor as you have been towards me.”

Psalm 34:4-7, 16-19

4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Look to him, and be radiant; so your faces shall never be ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.
16 The face of the LORD is against evildoers, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17 When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 The LORD is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the LORD delivers him out of them all.

A Daily Quote for Lent: Pardon your brother and sister, by Augustine, Bishop of Hippo, 354-430 A.D.

“Pardon, that you may be pardoned. In doing this, nothing is required of the body. It is the will that acts. You will experience no physical pain – you will have nothing less in your home. Now in truth, my brothers and sisters, you see what an evil it is that those who have been commanded to love even their enemy do not pardon a penitent brother or sister.” (quote from Sermon 210,10)

Come Back To Me….

Come back to Me, with all your heart, don’t let fear keep us apart.

I created you out of My great love for you, my children.  I want to save you and protect you.  You are Mine.

Don’t be deceived by the evil one in these days….He is clever and much more powerful than you are.  You cannot fight him without My help.

He only wants to destroy you and bring you down into the netherworld with him.  he hates you and despises you because you are in My Image.  His envy and anger knows no bounds.

If you only knew what I have planned for you….beauty and happiness which your mind cannot fathom.  I, my children have come to beg you to come back to Me, your God.  Do not let shame keep you from accepting My Mercy!

My Mercy is Today.  You only have a short time my little ones to repent of your sins and change your ways.  When you see your souls, for many, it will be too late.  Dear Children, please come back to Me.

I am filled with Mercy and Love.  I do not wish to punish my children.  Great tribulations will come upon your world because I need to wake my children up.  They are not listening.  The darkness has covered your hearts.  My children no longer have eyes to see or ears to hear.  I have sent my beloved Mother to warn all my children, but my children have ignored all of her attempts, save a few which I call my remnant, in these end times of yours.

At Fatima, My Mother foretold you that in the end, her Immaculate Heart will Triumph and an Era Of Peace awaits all those who have triumphed over evil.  My Mother is the Woman clothed with the Sun.  She has been given the task during this time to defeat satan.  My Children, if you could only see what I see.  The darkness….All of Hell has been emptied out….The devil is making one last great attempt to bring as many of My children with him.

My Children, I don’t wish to lose a single one of you.  You are all very important to me and loved.  Ask Me!  I will speak to your hearts and cover you with My Spirit.  Speak to Me, from your heart, and I will send forth My Spirit upon you.  You will know it is I who speak to you….

Don’t wait.  Time is short.  After my Mercy comes My Justice.  Come, while there is still time.  You will not regret it.  This day, as Moses spoke to his people, choose life or choose death.  Choose Blessings or Choose Curses.  Which will it be.  Please Come to your Father who loves you.

Banaba Leaf for Metabolic Disorders–Diabetes, Cervical Cancer, etc.

Banaba Leaf Herbs have been used in the Philippines and India for Blood Sugar Control for years.  Studies are also being done on those with cervical cancer and other metabolic disorders.  The studies have been shown to be positive.

Banaba, known scientifically as Lagerstroemia, is a flowering tree that is native to the Philippines and India, where it has been used for thousands of years as a treatment for digestive problems, kidney inflammation and diabetes. The Medical Health Guide reports that banaba can grow up to 30 feet high, producing pink and lavender flowers and leaves that are 3 inches wide by 7 inches in length. The banaba leaves are often used in herbal preparations, as they offer health benefits.

Studies of Banaba Leaf in regard to Diabetes can be found here.  Management of Diabetes and Its Complications with Banaba (Lagerstroemia speciosa L.) and Corosolic Acid.

Please check with your Dr before you self-medicate yourself with anything, especially if you are on Medications.  You do not know how your medications will interact with Banaba Leaf.

Blood Sugar Control
Banaba leaves contain a compound called corosolic acid, which has been identified as one of the main agents for banaba’s glucose lowering effect. According to a study in the April 2008 issue of “Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice,” corosolic acid helps the body break down sugars and carbohydrates and send them out to the body as energy through a process known as glycolysis. Drug Information Online (DIO) explains that corosolic acid also helps to repair the connection between insulin and insulin receptors, easing the problem of insulin resistance. Banaba’s effects on insulin resistance make it an herb of interest in the treatment of obesity as well.

Cancer Treatment
The corosolic acid in banaba leaves also makes a contribution to cancer treatment. Researchers at Changhai Hospital in Shanghai, China tested corosolic acid against human cervical cancer cells. The results, published in the November 1, 2009 issue of “Cancer Letters,” show that corosolic acid stimulates the release of cancer-cell-killing enzymes, resulting in cancer cell death. Not only has corosolic acid been shown effective against cervical cancer cells, but the DIO reports that leukemia, breast and liver cancer cells are also susceptible to its action.

Metabolic Syndrome
Metabolic syndrome is explained by the American Heart Association as a group of conditions a person may have that increase susceptibility to heart disease and stroke. These conditions include high blood pressure, obesity, high cholesterol and triglycerides, and inflammation. Researchers at Mukogawa Women’s University in Nishinomiya, Japan tested banaba leaf extract against several metabolic syndrome conditions. They found that by the end of 10 weeks of treatment, blood pressure had been lowered, fat metabolism had normalized and the body’s inflammation levels had decreased, according to the published results in the November 25, 2006 issue of “Life Sciences.”

Banaba Leaf Helps Blood Sugar Health

Human studies show that it can help lower blood sugar within 60 minutes by helping the transport of sugar into cells. It has been shown to help the glucose transporter proteins, especially GLUT4, which is active in fat cells and muscle cells. Improving metabolism of insulin within fat cells helps to correct leptin problems and food cravings that are typical in overweight individuals with elevated blood sugar. The typical human response is a 10-15% decrease in blood sugar within two hours of ingestion. The researchers conclude that banaba extracts standardized to corosolic acid “decrease fasting as well as postprandial blood glucose levels in humans.”

Blood Sugar Control: A Natural Diabetes Remedy?

The leaves also contain the minerals manganese and zinc. Extracts from the seeds have been found to have powerful antioxidant properties and are in fact being researched as a possible HIV treatment.

Herbal medicine from the Philippines
January 22 2015 by Ray Sahelian, M.D.
Banaba herb has been used in the Philippines for blood sugar control. See diabetes for information on natural supplements and herbs that have an influence on blood sugar, including lipoic acid. One of the active ingredients in banaba leaf is corosolic acid and there has been some research done with it in Japan. I have not come across any human studies, but there has been at least one human study with corosolic acid that showed improvement in blood sugar control in type II diabetics. At this point it is difficult to predict the blood sugar response to a banaba supplement and it is difficult to know what dosage works best, how often to take it, or how it interacts with other supplements used for blood sugar control. We also don’t know how this supplement would interact with oral medicines used in diabetes and how it would interact with insulin. If you are a type II diabetic, discuss with your doctor regarding its use to see if this herbal remedy is appropriate for your particular condition.Buy Banaba Leaf Extract supplement, 250 mg per pill, 12 to 1 Extract 60 Capsules

herbs and nutrients involved in blood sugar control include cinnamon, fenugreek, chromium, and alpha lipoic acid. Extracts from banaba possess activities that both stimulate glucose transport into cells and inhibit adipocyte differentiation.

The use of banaba for diabetes in the US is still very new.  The dosage and how often one should take it and how it interacts with insulin has not been determined.   The researcher was not aware of any studies combining metformin or other medicines with Banaba as of yet.

IObesity and weight loss

Antiobesity activity of extracts from Lagerstroemia speciosa leaves on female KK-Ay mice.
J Nutr Sci Vitaminol. 1999..
Lagerstroemia speciosa has been used as a folk medicine for a long time among diabetics in the Philippines. In the present study, female mice of the same strain showing remarkable body weight gain were used to examine the antiobesity effect of dietary banaba extract. Five-week-old female KK-Ay mice were fed a control diet or test diet containing 5% of a hot-water extract from banaba leaves instead of cellulose for 12 weeks. Neither group showed any changes in diet intake during the experimental period. Body weight gain and parametrial adipose tissue weight were lowered significantly in the banaba diet group. Blood glucose levels were not suppressed in the banaba diet group, but hemoglobin A1C was found to be suppressed at the end of the experiment. No effects on the serum lipids were observed, but the mice fed banaba extract showed a significant decrease, to 65% of the control level in total hepatic lipid contents. This decrease was due to a reduction in the accumulation of triglyceride. These results suggest that banaba had a beneficial effect on obese female KK-Ay mice.

The Mark of the Beast -666

There is alot of talk these days about what exactly is “The Mark of the Beast”.  If you google it you will find all sorts of theories ranging from a micro-chip to a tattoo branded onto everyone’s head and hand.

I must admit that for many years I assumed it was going to be a micro-chip implanted into our bodies…I suppose because this is what everyone was saying for the most part, plus because of the technologocal advances during the last 30 years, especially in regard to computers.  It seemed plausible.

Six months ago, when I read the following from Fr. Gobbi’s book, I had that great “Aha” moment.   This sudden revelation, of the meaning of what I was reading, hit me like a lightning bolt.  I read this same passage 18 years ago, and I didn’t get it.

So, why am I writing about this?  Mostly because of our culture of materialism in a time of great upheaval in the world.  The Lord is trying to save us from ourselves and is warning us.  He never does anything without first warning His children (Amos 3:7).

In May of 1972, Fr. Don Stefano Gobbi  was  taking  part in a pilgrimage  to Fatima and was praying for some Priests who had given up their own vocation, and were attempting to form themselves into associations in rebellion against the Church’s authority.  It was during this time that He began receiving messages from Our Lady and was asked to form a group called “The Marian Movement of Priests”.   He asked Our Lady for a sign that this was a call from Heaven.  He received his sign that day.  This too has been investigated and submitted to the Church Authorities to make sure there is nothing in its contents that goes against Scripture.

This group of Priests would be consecrated to Jesus through Mary and Mary was going to lead them through the tribulation of these latter years.  She gave him instruction and information on how things were going to play out so that when things began to happen they would know what to do and how to help the people.  Deception would be so widespread and the Lord did say “Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth? (luke 18:8).

On September 8, 1989, Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, she spoke to Fr. Gobbi and told him that these are the times when the followers of him who opposes himself to Christ are being signed with his mark on the forehead and on the hand.  This Mark is Symbolic.

“The sign indicates him who is an enemy of Christ, that is to say, the sign of the Antichrist.  And his mark, which is stamped, signifies the complete belonging of the person thus marked to the army of him who is opposed to Christ and who fights against his divine and royal dominion.  The Mark is imprinted on the forehead and on the hand”.

The forehead indicates the intellect, because the mind is the seat of the human reason.  The hand expresses human activity, because it is with his hands that man acts and works.

He who allows himself to be signed with the mark on his forehead is led to accept the doctrine of the denial of God, of the rejection of his Law, and of atheism which, in these times, is more and more diffused and advertised.

He who allows himself to be signed with the mark on his hand is obliged to act in an autonomous manner and independently of God, ordering his own activities to the quest of a purely material and terrestrial good.  Thus he withdraws his action from the design of the Father, who wants to illumine it and sustain it by his divine providence.…  He who is signed with the mark on his hand works for himself alone, to accumulate material goods, to make money his god, and he becomes a victim of materialism….he works solely for the gratification of his own senses, for the quest of well-being and pleasure, for the granting of full satisfaction to all his passions, especially that of impurity, and he becomes a victim of hedonism. (the ethical theory that pleasure (in the sense of the satisfaction of desires) is the highest good and proper aim of human life.)  He makes of his own self the center of all his actions, looks upon others as objects to be used and to be exploited for his own advantage, and he becomes a victim of unbridled egoism and of lovelessness.

“If my adversary is signing, with his mark, all his followers, the time has come when I also, your heavenly Leader, am signing, with my motherly seal, all those who have consecrated themselves to my Immaculate Heart and have formed part of my army.  I am imprinting my seal on your foreheads with the most Holy sign of the Cross of my Son Jesus.  Thus, I am opening the human intellect to receive His Divine Word, to love it, and to live it  I am leading you to entrust yourselves completely to Jesus who has revealed it to you.  And I am making of you today courageous witnesses of faith  Against those signed on the forehead with the blasphemous mark.

And then I am directing all your activity to the perfect glorification of the Most Holy Trinity.  For this, I am imprinting upon your hands my seal which is the sign of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  With the sign of the Father, your human activity becomes directed towards a perfect cooperation with the plans of his divine providence, which still today arranges all things for your good.  With the sign of the Son, all your actions become profoundly inserted into the mystery of his divine redemption.  With the sign of the Holy Spirit, everything you do becomes open to his powerful force for sanctification, which breathes everywhere like a powerful fire, to renew from its foundations the whole world. (To The Priests, Our Ladys Beloved Sons, pg. 617-618).

These words come to me:  “Blessed are the Poor in Spirit for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven”.  What does that mean?

Poor in spirit means that we understand a profound truth about ourselves — the truth that none of us is responsible for our own existence and our own continuance of existence. Poor in spirit means we understand our need for God and who God is and who we are. Poor in spirit means we understand that without God and God’s gift to us of existence, of life, [that] we would not be. God has loved us into being. God has loved all of creation into being, and it’s only God’s love that sustains all of creation as it continues to evolve and develop in each one of us God’s continuing love. (national Catholic Reporter)

Perhaps this is why we need to be “poor in spirit”, so that we do not fall into materialism and into the hands of the antichrist.

Revelation 13:16-18 – And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

Revelation 14:9-11 – And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive [his] mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

Revelation 20:4 – And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Revelation 19:20 – And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Revelation 13:18 – Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six.

Revelation 13:8 – And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Revelation 14:11 – And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

So in closing I would like to say that we probably all need to take a look at where we are today.  Are we allowing satan to use us and “mark” us through our habits of materialism.  Have our minds been darkened to the Truth because of where our heart is – with the material goods of this world, rather than on the next world.  We all have time to change right now….this is God’s time of Mercy.  His time of Justice will come, so lets act now while we still have time.

The “Bought” Documentary – Exposes the deadly story

The food, vaccine, drug, insurance and health industry are a multi-BILLION dollar enterprise…From what you are about to see based on the evidence of this documentary, which features exclusive interviews with the world’s most acclaimed experts in research and medicine…..exposes the hidden and deadly story behind it all. This will be free until sometime in March.  So watch it now and pass it on.

I watched the documentary and it is truly frightening to see what has taken place in our country precisely because of the “love of money”.  Bought is a very apt title.

My wish is that none of this were true.  I would really hope that someone could refute all of the evidence of this documentary.  But, I don’t think they can.  If you can, please let me know.

I am just reminded of something.  Remember my article on fasting and prayer…..fasting and prayer can suspend the natural laws of medicine.  We need to fast and pray for God’s Divine intervention in this situation and heal our land and bodies.

The Seven Cardinal Sins are High-Powered Spirits Cont.

I will continue with the cardinal sins of lust, gluttony, pride, and sloth.

Lust:  Basically, these are sins of impurity.  satan attacks us through our senses big time.  Theologians tell us that  “sins of lust wrap themselves around all our senses, and then through our senses, enter into our souls”.

  • Lust is seeking unlawful pleasures, especially through the sense of touch
  • Some of the sins committed through lust include adultery (a violation of the 6th commandment), fornication (sexual relations before marriage), incest, rape, masturbation, birth control, sterilization and abortion, pornography.
  • The bad fruit of falling into this type of sin is spiritual blindness and will bring about a hardening of our heart towards God.  We will “argue” with the Lord, excusing our actions, and telling Him what we are doing is “ok”.  Our hearts become hardened when we become insensitive to our conscience and God’s will”.
  • Impurity fosters an excessive love of the world or things of the world.  It can also cause mental anxiety through fear of future punishments and lust can lead to disobedience, scandal and loss of faith.
  • We also commit the sin of lust in our minds through impure thoughts.  Jesus said “where your treasure is, there your heart is also” (Mt 6:21); through our eyes by watching or reading impure material; through our ears by listening to impure jokes and movies and through our lust for power, honor and recognition. (Bathe seven times)
  • Mother Nadine said “often the lack of deep prayer is one of the open doors for lust.  people are not experiencing this deep relationship, they are not experiencing being loved, they are not experiencing the presence and touch of God, and so there is a hunger, a loneliness, and an emptiness deep within”.

One of the ways to combat the sin of lust is to pray for the Gift of “The Fear of the Lord”.  It is this gift that we strive to Love God and not do anything that would displease Him.  This gift helps us to not only recognize the sin, but hate it as well.  Chastity, Temperance and Modesty are virtues that would come against the sin of lust.  We can pray and ask for these virtues.  Temperance mortifies our senses and helps bring about the virtue of modesty.

“Lust is rooted in fear of being a child.  It’s a fear of being little because in being little we go through the conversion process and become pure like a child…The third word of Jesus on the cross was “behold your mother”.  If we are not a little child, we don’t need a mother.  When we are close to Mary and are consecrated to her, she will get us those graces to be pure of heart, to be little.  We are her responsibility.”(Bathe Seven Times, pg 159)

Gluttony:  This sin is an abuse of God’s gift of pleasure.  The person who is in the sin of gluttony gets more pleasure from the experience than what is experienced, both physically and spiritually.

  • St. Thomas Aquinas says that gluttony is an inordinate desire in eating and drinking.  But this sin can also include that of an inordinate desire to have more than what we need in most things.  One example is the desire for more spiritual consolations….we pray because we want those consolations, instead of praying because we Love God.
  • Gluttony can demand perfectly prepared expensive food and drinks.  They get upset if its not to their liking .  They usually will attach a great deal of importance to the quality of what they are eating.  They are not satisfied with common food.  In the parable of the rich man he had an overabundance of rich foods and drink every day and wouldn’t give Lazarus, who was begging at his gate a few crumbs; nothing.  He ended up in Hell.
  • One of the basic roots of gluttony, according to Mother Nadine, is an unconscious self-image of emptiness.  We therefore begin to feed that emptiness with food.  Usually when we begin to overeat or drink it is because of something eating at us; possibly loneliness, depression, extreme stress, anxiety, or frustration.
  • She said the Lord revealed to her how fasting from food and drink for a few days has the power of deliverance; being delivered from evil spirits in our lives, along with poisons being released from our bodies.
  • She noted that there are quite a few evil spirits that move in families or clusters which are associated with gluttony.  The spirit of infirmity, retaliation, nonsense, games, and trivia; a spirit of confusion and spirit of rejection, which is often times the controlling spirit here, because the person in the sin of gluttony, is usually feeling unloved.

The gift of Fortitude is a gift of courage which will begin to root out the sin of gluttony in us in a powerful way.  The gift of fortitude will take away our fear of suffering and of the cross. It gives us a lot of strength.  We need courage to put our wants and desires to death and this gift will give us courage.

“Gluttony is the fear of mortification, fear of the Cross, and fear of decreasing.   It’s a fear of putting my false self to death (not my true self, not my best self).  We do this so we can enter into God’s thirst for souls.  His thirst for love, which means everything to God so that His redemption was not in vain.

Sloth: St. Thomas Aquinas says “sloth is when we have an inordinate love of rest, which leads us to neglect or omit physical, mental, and spiritual duties”.

imageI didn’t know this before but there are four different kinds of sloth.

  • “Sloth of the Intellect is manifested in our sluggishness of thought in useless, vague occupations of the mind”
  • Sloth of the Will is to be lazy and not make the choices we need to make.  This looks like procrastination, not making the effort to do something, a lack of zeal and avoiding obligations that we are responsible for and need to do.
  • Sloth of the Body occurs when we just really slow down for the sake of ease.  we move at a snails pace.  However, sometimes this can be the opposite whereby we become so super busy that we don’t have time to pray and do the spiritual things that are necessary for our souls.  We say we are too busy.  A lack of discipline is associated with sloth of the body.
  • Sloth is a mental and spiritual laziness that leads to physical laziness.  This pertains to not doing something as well as we can…we cut corners, we are indifferent about what we are doing, we don’t make the effort to do all that we need to do to the best of our abilities, which includes our spiritual life.  We basically get sloppy and careless about our work.
  • “At a deeper level, sloth will lead us to discouragement, moodiness, and to lows that we can’t pull out of after awhile.  Discouragement is one of satans main weapons.  Sloth can be very harmful and paralyze us.  It can lead to depression and an oppressive sorrow….there’s a loss of meaning in life…part of the personality of this sin is that it never finishes anything.  It gets bored and tires very easily.  Loses interest  easily because it lacks motivation.  We are not focused on God when this sin takes hold of us; tardiness is an offshoot of sloth because we don’t care enough to show up on time.  Tardiness starts with a lack of charity” (Bathe Seven times pg. 117).
  • Pope John Paul II said we are living in a culture of death.  Sloth is prevalent in a society that lacks passion for truth.  If we don’t have a passion for truth, we’re going to look for things that will make us happy.  St. Augustine said  “He who has God has everything, and he who has everything but God, has nothing”.
  • The Spiritual Fathers have noted that when we begin to shun the spiritual part of our lives and find them distasteful…we would rather do anything than pray, then we will be seeking pleasure elsewhere which leads to many other sins.
  • Spiritual Sloth will tempt us to omit our spiritual duties such as examining our conscience, going to confession less often, maybe shorten our prayer times or praying hurriedly to get through them, praying in a position that is more conducive to sleeping than praying, etc.  This kind of sloth is dangerous because it will destroy our love for God by robbing us of “hungering and thirsting” for God.  This kind of sloth encourages us to seek spiritual gratification on our terms…seeking to do our will and then trying to convince God that our way is better than His way.
  • St. John of the Cross said that as God leads souls through the Dark Night of the Soul, which purifies them for true Agape love, and they get closer to the cross, this is usually where they turn around and walk away because they no longer feel the warmth and joy of prayer.  God has removed it for a time to test them.
  • Sloth can delay God’s timing and His plan for us as well as hinder others and ourselves from going forward.

The gift of Knowledge is the main gift of the Holy Spirit to combat this sin of sloth.  The gift to have the mind of Jesus.  This gift gives us the discernment we need to know God’s will for us.  We want to know His perfect Will, not His permissive Will.  We will be able to see when apathy sets in and how we are not learning or communicating with God.  Knowledge is a pure gift and comes out of our intuition.  It is a holy knowledge of things that God has created and of what God wants and knowledge will give us a power and an energy to do His will.

Prompt obedience to God is always very helpful in combatting this sin and perseverance can overcome tepidity.  St. Thomas said that the more we think about spiritual goods, the more pleasing they will become to us and sloth will die away because we have changed our focus towards God.

“Sloth is rooted in fear of commitment.  As long as I can stay busy, busy, busy then I don’t have to be committed because I’m too busy.  The root of sloth is fear of being committed to God and prayer, which connects us to God.  Sloth doesn’t want to commit to anything to anyone, or to any project.  It has that lazy dimension.  It doesn’t want to commit to the spiritual life.  We need this gift of knowledge to see things from God’s point of view.  We need the grace to finish the  work God has given us to do, whatever our vocation is…..Daily prayer is key to all of this.  Jesus taught us to pray that way, “Father, give us today our daily bread”, Not the the bread of tomorrow, but what I need to feed me today so that I can in turn nurture others and give it away as You see fit.  “It is finished”.

Pride:  Pride is the beginning of all sin and scripture states that was the first sin committed.  Theologians tell us that pride is the father of all sins and the summit of self-love and the sin most hated by God, even though lust is the most frequent sin committed.  St. Gregory states that pride is the “queen of vices, which conquers the heart of a man and delivers it to the Capital Sins”  Pride is  the root of spiritual sloth, envy, and anger, and of all the sins, pride is the most dangerous.  It blinds our understanding.  We are instantly in the dark and self-delusional..

In reality, Pride is saying, “My will be done“.  Rather than, your will be done.

“Pride is rooted into fear of submitting my will to another, whether it is human authority or Divine authority.  It’s a fear of depending upon someone else who knows.  Pride is rooted in a fear of submitting my will to God’s will because I’m going to that fearful atmosphere of “whatever”, and I don’t know.  It is a fear of the unknown if I give God my will.  The beautiful gift of counsel will help us learn to ask and ask.  Jesus says, Ask, Ask, Ask.”image

I wrote about pride which you can see here.

Boy, this has been enlightening for me.  In going through all of these sins I definitely see where I need to improve and I know where I am headed tomorrow – Confession.   This can be kind of overwhelming, but remember, God knows we are weak individuals and we are all sinners; not a single one of us is perfect.  We won’t be until we enter heaven.  So, we need to expect that we have work to do yet.  Do not let shame or embarrassment keep you away from going to God or confession and asking for the graces you need to overcome the weak areas in your life.  Lets all stomp on satans head by repenting and confessing.

God Bless!
